Re: Trine 2 Complete Story: Dwarven caverns not found :(

Also that Dwarven Caverns seems to only be a single level, and we're unable to "unlock" it! The last thing on my level list is "7 Locked". We've just re-played level 13 "Final Chapter" and level 6b "Goblin Machinations", no luck. What to do?? I think you need...

[Linux] Goblin Menace - Deadly Dustland Post-Scorpion sound

I've noticed an odd bug in Deadly Dustland where once you get to the bit with the giant scorpion, sound seems to be wonky for the rest of the level. Most characters' sounds don't seem to trigger, it feels as if the audio "camera" has been pulled far away (though ambient sounds are at the s...

Re: Provectus (Level 7) elevator not working

Hey there - I know your post is like 1.5 years old at this point, but I was just replaying Shadowgrounds and browsing around the forums and figured perhaps it could help someone else, at least. Anyway: I just got to this part too, and the elevator will indeed not do anything on its own. You need to ...

Re: Mudwater Dale (Lvl3): Missing monster experience

Aha, just a note that this appear to still be the case as of v1.16, btw. I've gone over that level three or four times now on Hard, and had noticed the bit with the battle music too, but hadn't considered jumping down difficulty levels.

Re: Linux Trine 2 - Insubstantial Leaf Platform?

Figured I might as well note a couple of similar things I noticed over the weekend while finishing the game up. First, a door near the end of the game didn't actually trigger open for me on my first playthrough, but when I quit and reloaded the game, it opened as it should: http://i.imgur.com/fLPt6....

Stuck in a "secret" area in Mushroom Caves, v1.15 (Linux)

Hello - I'm guessing that this one isn't Linux-specific, so I wasn't posting in the Linux-specific forum... I just got into a secret area in the Mushroom Caves, and I'm pretty sure that the game is glitched in such a way that I'm unable to get out. The area I'm referring to is this one: http://i.img...

Re: Linux Trine 2 - Insubstantial Leaf Platform?

No worries, and thanks for the update! Trine 2 is plenty enough fun to make up for minor inconveniences like this.

Linux Trine 2 - Insubstantial Leaf Platform?

I had a strange experience in one of the areas, after causing one of the giant plants to grow into a platform. At first, my character wasn't able to actually land on the leaf at all (although the wizard's summonings seemed to interact properly). I apologize for the crappy framerate (and for it being...

Linux Trine 2 - Another weird graphical glitch

I experienced a weird glitch the other night and forgot about it until now. I think it was a dead goblin or the like resting on top of a platform... Anyway, over the course of maybe 20 seconds or so, the goblin's pixels appeared to "smear" downwards towards the bottom of the screen, as see...

Linux Trine 2 - Minor graphical glitch, runs great on F17

Hello! Just noticed today that Trine 2 has had a Linux version for awhile, so that was some welcome news on a Friday where it's still too bloody hot to step outside. :) The game in general runs great on my Fedora 17 box, for what it's worth - if you wanted to update the README in there, all of the a...

Re: Create a symbolic link on install?

Should I put a check mark in the box for that option or accept the default and click next? Well, that would sort of depend on whether or not you want a symlink in ~/bin. :) The symlink would be useful if you typically launch applications from a terminal, rather than double-clicking on a shortcut or...

Endgame Cinematic glitch [spoilers, technically, I guess]

Figured I may as well report this as well... I'm using the Linux build (from the Bundle), running at 1024x768, and it appears that a couple of the cinematics "repeat" on the screen, rather than staying letterboxed like they should. For instance, the cinematic background on the main menu lo...

Cutscene glitch in Alien Mothership 1 / Wrencher attacks

Finished playing through Shadowgrounds on Linux last night, which was a highly enjoyable experience all around. Well done! Re: Trine on Linux (32bit) not saving games?

did anyone manage to make it save at a checkpoint, and load after exit/restart ? I cannot make it load from a checkpoint, only whole level - at the beginning. Yeah, the game will only save at the end of the level; you won't be able to continue from a checkpoint if you've exited the game and started...

Re: Trine on Linux (32bit) not saving games?

P.S. The problem was that the game does not start because of "Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display:: 0.0" error. After the command "xhost +", I was able to run the game. Were you trying to launch it right from an xterm that you had launched from your desktop? Usually you'll only ...

Re: Trine on Linux (32bit) not saving games?

When you first start the game you should use the launcher. This creates all the necessary directories. Do not install as root, that will create the directories with incorrect permissions and cause very strange bugs like this one. Aha, that makes sense; thanks. I actually hadn't noticed that there w...

Re: Trine on Linux (32bit) not saving games?

I created the folders: ~/.frozenbyte/trine/profiles/default/save and put downloaded save in it. After that, saves in a game began to work (in all slots). Ah, excellent. Merely creating the ~/.frozenbyte/trine/profiles/default/save directory was enough to get them working for me; I didn't have to se...

Trine on Linux (32bit) not saving games?

Hello; I got the new Bundle earlier today and it's been great in general. I do seem to be having a problem with Trine (32-bit) on Linux, though: it doesn't appear to save at all. I've gotten past a couple of levels... At least past the first big skeleton miniboss-or-whatever, so I'd have expected to...
