Re: Desura: Goblin Menace

Frozenbyte just informed me that they do give keys for Steam if you have made purchases on Desura instead, yay! Goblin Menace here I come! :D

Contact support with what all information you have showing you purchased it already and they should set you up!

Re: Desura: Goblin Menace

I emailed Frozenbyte support asking them if they will give Steam keys to users who have purchased Trine 2 over Desura so they can get the DLC over Steam. I will let you know their reply.

Re: Desura: Goblin Menace

I have the same request. Desura doesn't give you a key that you can then use on Steam and I'd like to both register Trine 2 on my Steam account as well as get the DLC. Does anyone know if they are letting us do that? I prefer Steam over Desura now that it is out for Linux because it's nicer software...

Re: [Linux 64Bit] SG: disappearing sounds

Is there any chance that this might get fixed by a subsequent update? How about if I installed the 32-bit version of Ubuntu 10.10? Would that fix the problem? 10.10 here, sound problem still there. You'd think it'd be some kind of memory issue since it's a time-based problem, and areas where there ...

Re: Shadows glitchy in SGS on ATI graphics under Linux

Confirmed that these glitches were all a driver bug. I'm not having any more shadow glitches after upgrading to fglrx/AMD/ATI driver 11.5!

Re: PulseAudio sound workaround on Linux

I had a similar problem while running Fedora 14 x64 after downloading survivorUpdate1.run even after trying the above workarounds. I was getting an error of "ALSA lib dlmisc.c:236:(snd1_dlobj_cache_get) Cannot open shared library /usr/lib/alsa-lib/libasound_module_pcm_pulse.so" The proble...

Re: Shadows glitchy in SGS on ATI graphics under Linux

Since all screen capturing fails for OGL games on Linux right now for whatever reason (get black windows with all the programs I tried), I'll post a camera shot. See how the bushes are squares? The light isn't coming through the polygons in the appropriate places.

Re: PulseAudio sound workaround on Linux

For some reason padsp is no longer needed in Ubuntu 10.10, and a new install of the Shadowgrounds games from the latest update 3 seems to have fixed the problem.

Re: PulseAudio sound workaround on Linux

I thought I'd share that, plus ask why this bug exists and workaround is needed? Is there an unreliable ABI being used for sound for the Shadowgrounds games? Is it PulseAudio's fault? Ubuntu's fault? What is going on? It's just sad that such a workaround is needed for a still fairly newish game. Th...

PulseAudio sound workaround on Linux

To get sound working on Linux machines with PulseAudio, I found putting "padsp" in front of the launcher command works nicely. Running Ubuntu 11.04. Example: padsp /home/yfrwlf/Games/shadowgrounds/shadowgrounds-launcher I thought I'd share that, plus ask why this bug exists and workaround ...

Shadows glitchy in SGS on ATI graphics under Linux

The shadows in SG2:S are glitchy with the latest video drivers from ATI under Ubuntu 11.04. I tried tweaking many different settings with no effect. Doesn't seem like it goes away unless you just disable shadows. Is there a fix for this? Anyone else have this problem?

Thanks. ^^
