Re: Licensing

About the cygwin dll: Its existence in the package seems more like a simple unfortunate "slip-up" and it was not really indended to be there. The Jack Claw code does NOT rely on it in any way - neither does the code link to it. So the cygwin .dll file should not really be a part of the pac...

Re: almost 200% cpu usage on Macbook Air 11"

It is normal for Trine to use as much CPU as possible (to provide the highest possible framerate). If that becomes a problem for some reason, for example if one's computer tends to overheat on heavy load, the framerate can be limited by opening the game console with F8 and writing /render_max_fps 30...

Re: Linux: Bad performance under Linux (64-bit)

Yesterday, I've Trine on Windows7, on the same hardware and, I must say, I was really shocked with the difference. The game runs smoothly, even in 1920x1080 with high details. It's so much different than on linux. Moreover, the render quality seems to be much better. On linux, the game in 1920x1080...

Re: Linux: Is my nVidia card really that bad?

Hi, The problem with your GeForce 210 and with the low framerate is really about the resolution / the pixel pushing performance of the graphics card... Basically, I would assume that you really cannot get a 1680x1050 out of that - as Trine is pretty graphics intensive (and most modern games probably...

Re: Linux Support and Alternative Gaming

Note, I just posted a quick and really hacky explanation on how to fix the screen blurriness to a new thread (under this Trine technical support forum). It should fix the issue with the blurry screen on the native linux version - at least to some extent. It is quite hacky though, and requires manual...

Linux: Fix to the slightly blurry rendering on linux

There have been some posts about the native Trine linux port graphics not being quite the same as on the windows version - specifically the textures/screen looking blurry. So I decided to have a little peek myself too, and started the Ubuntu 9.04 install on my home computer... Yeah, its a bit old, I...
