Re: People interested in working on the game?

And kickstarter is crazy, some guy got $$$ for developing a game using free tools. What do you need money for on this? Its sad that this project ...

Re: String handling issues

String for the win B) I cannot even see why anyone would use char arrays (even if I do that all the time)

Re: Sharing code with Shadowgrounds

I like the 3'rd alternative, then you don't need to porting anything or copy code.

Do a new editor, maybe the best way if is hard to do that with the code we have now. We can begin with a 2D editor maybe :D

Re: How we will do this - read, comment and contribute

No. We will not try to make money out of the project. We do this because of our love for games, not for the love of money. If there's someone who wants to donate something, we can, of course, add a donate button - but that would only be because someone in the community wanted that  Non-profit...

Re: How we will do this - read, comment and contribute

And who are giving those points? It would be interesting to see if there is another way to do this, the most common strategies I have seen in open source project is that you submit stuff as more or less modifications of bugfixes that the developer group can choose to include in their project. So whe...

Re: How we will do this - read, comment and contribute

I don't like the idea of giving people points for what they do? Would that be a highscore of who doing the best work?
Maybe that is so you work in your team, but for a community based project it sounds strange. And no, I have no idea how to do instead.

Re: What needs to be done?

I understand that there more important things do do, maybe this have the lowest priority. If you want you can let the community do the rest of the work so you can focus of the commercial projects. I have seen may already in this small community who seems have the knowledge to help. But yeah, there m...

Re: What needs to be done?

Seems strange that the Mac version works but not Linux. It used to be vise-versa :D
It would be nice if you could put up the storyline, if there is any. Maybe that's something the community will made up. :)

Re: What needs to be done?

As I understand, he (the coder of the JackClaw) haven't begin with the OpenGL stuff or it would broke the game. It would be really nice to have it working on Linux :) but I have no XBOX controller xD.

I guess even that this game was designed for console, none will ever play it on console.
