Re: Segfauls on Linux
So I actually got it running on my 3.3 hardware with MESA_GLSL_VERSION_OVERRIDE=440 MESA_GL_VERSION_OVERRIDE=4.1 obviously not a real solution, as it may crash at any moment the game tries to use anything not supported by the driver, but still proves my point that checking for the extensions instead...

Re: Segfauls on Linux
I get the same segfault, OpenGL 3.3, for the moment. So... 1. It would be great if the OpenGL requirements was mentioned, at least on GOG where I got the demo, there is nothing. 2. The game really shouldn't segfault. Refusing to run is okay, but tell the user what went wrong. It would be even better...

Re: Fedora 16 64bits - Core dumped
Nevertheless... the game will most likely not work on the current open source nouveau drivers even with a 64 bit version. So the properietary Nvidia or AMD display drivers are a requirement anyway and will need to be installed - regardless of 32 bit vs 64 bit application in use. (Notice, that you c...

Re: [Trine2] Black screen from the beginning on Linux
Hello and sorry for the trouble As far as I know the Intel HD 3000 (atleast OSS) drivers doesen't suuport EXT_texture_compression_s3tc extension under Linux which is required by the game, which is likely to cause the problem. But as jpk said above our graphics programmer probably knows this better....

(solved) Trine and Shadowgrounds: Incompatible libxcb
Hi, I've been trying to get Trine (and Shadowgrounds) working with Mesa 8.0. Unfortunately it's not going so well: ./trine-bin32 Got signal 11 at (nil) from 0xb543ddfb ./trine-bin32[0x80783a8] [0xb775040c] ./lib32/libxcb.so.1(xcb_send_request+0x3b)[0xb543ddfb] /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libxcb-glx.so.0...

Re: Graphics problems, Arch Linux, Intel graphics
This problem occurs with survivorUpdate1.run and also the previous release by the way. shadowgroundsUpdate1.run also has the same behaviour - the main menu is so washed out that I can't even figure out how to start the game. I should add that I can very briefly see the main menu for both games, but...

Re: No character movement
current_profile is set to developer, I can't seem to make any changes to the keybindings in ~/.frozenbyte/claw/profiles/developer/config/keybinds.txt only by editing the same files in the game dir. For example changing "w" to launch open_log works, but setting camera_move_forward = l still...

Re: No character movement
No, doesn't make any difference with a fresh setup.
It's odd because some keys do work, like tab, u and l to bring up the interface.

Re: Attempting trine with the open source radeon drivers
It's pretty safe to assume bugs in the driver unless you can prove otherwise, especially considering that r600g is still in heavy development. r600g is unfortunately still very slow (there's some sort of bottleneck yet to be found) but in your case it sounds suspiciously slow, are you quite sure tha...

Re: `GLIBCXX_3.4.14' not found
But you can blame the Humble guys, they said from the very beginning that the games won't run on Intel graphics: http://frozenbyte.com/help_humble/ At least for the Linux side I'm quite curious about this, it was a developer from Intel who implemented the necessary changes in Mesa to make it work, ...

I'm sad ... :-( 24.4.2011 [18:31] ERROR: EXT_texture_compression_s3tc required ERROR: Your graphics card cannot run this game. You can try updating your drivers. You need libtxc_dxtn, either see if there are any packages for your distro, or grab it from http://cgit.freedesktop.org/~mareko/libtxc_dx...

Re: Attempting trine with the open source radeon drivers
The driver does not correctly implement ARB_draw_buffers. Either you don't have the very latest drivers or they didn't fix it yet. This is bug https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=36236 which is still open. And the comments only talk about r300, not r600. I do believe that bug report could ...

No character movement
For some reason I can't get the character to move in the game, the default keybindings WASD etc. have no effect at all. Other bindings, Enter to skip the intro, Esc to quit the game, F8 to bring up the console etc. are all working fine, there's also no problem with mouse input so I can use the claw....

Re: Bugs
I'm getting the same errors, and the blank screen. I think that's the video failing to play. In my case pressing Esc (or was it Enter?) cancels it and the game loads.
There's supposedly a new beta coming out soon, so this might already be fixed?
