Re: Trine 3 (Mac) not responding

The very long loading time was normal with originally published version of the game. I think the current version is less bad, though it still takes some time. Could you try with the latests version?

I tested Trine 3 (GOG release), and it still creates $HOME/.frozenbyte so it doesn't follow XDG spec yet.

Yes, one of the less important features that still didn't make it. Sorry about that.

Re: Trine 3 crashes on launch (Mac-Version from GOG)

According to Apple's support page, Radeon HD 4850 only support OpenGL 3.3 in OS X. If that's true, then the game won't work. Sorry.

Re: Multiple keyboards local coop + stereo 3D

Unfortunately, as multiple keyboards and mice support for Trine 2 was never fully working (it had problems in menus and was difficult to configure) and since it was used by very few people, it was decided that it would not be fixed and enabled for Trine 3. As for Stereo 3D, I unfortunately don't kno...

Re: Windows Cursor Remains on Screen

There was a bit of a regression few days before launch. While fixing a potential crash bug in input initialization, we partly broke the cursor hiding logic. It has been internally fixed, but didn't make it to released build. In game, you should be able to manually hide the Windows cursor via console...

Re: [Linux] Trine 2 crashes on startup on 1+TB XFS partition

Well, I guess there's some good reason why partition size affects file reading and why this isn't fixed by default (I understand, why large file support can't be automatically fixed, just never even thought to look for large partition support). Mind you, neither of your links (the large file support...

Re: [Linux] Please use XDG directory specification

This is actually already planned for Trine 3 (thank you for your timely post though. I couldn't remember the XDG acronym the other day, so you saved me some time googling). Though we probably just use the data dir, as in Windows, as we don't currently have support for separate config dir (also, it's...

Re: [Linux] Trine 2 crashes on startup on 1+TB XFS partition

Thanks for your report. We are using normal Posix file functions, so I'm not really sure why they wouldn't work with big partitions. Could be that some of the libs we are using are doing something clever. Reason for 32 bit build is that we didn't have 64 bit libs for all the middle-ware we are using...

Re: Weird gamepad issue with Trine 2

Reversing the axis order on EmulatedElement line should definitely do something (first axis is for horizontal movement, second for vertical), even if it still wouldn't produce desired result. Did you restart the game between edits? You could try changing something simple (like jump button) just to m...

Re: Weird gamepad issue with Trine 2

Hi folks, I'm using 2 PS2 controllers (Dual Shock 2) and I have a weird issue with those. With the wizard, controlling the cursor is very troublesome. While holding nothing (just moving the cursor with the right stick), UP is RIGHT, LEFT is DOWN, and vice versa. It's not just reverse like UP is DOW...

We are actually phasing out multiple keyboards and mice support (Trine 3 won't have it). ... Since Trine 3 won't have support for multiple keyboards, the only way to play local co-op will be using a gamepad for one or more players. Can you please explain why that is? Linux and Mac versions are in the works, but (unless something unexpected happens) won't be ready by the time Windows version exits Early Access. Hopefully, we'll have beta version out before that though.

Unfortunately we don't have any more specific schedule to share.

Hi, and nice to meet you :) It seems that we have a bug in our code causing a crash if an XInput device is detected but not properly initialized. However, fixing that only allows game to run (badly, it keeps trying to re-initialize input every few seconds, which is pretty bad considering DirectInput...

Thanks for the response. It's sad to hear that, but I can understand the difficulty in solving an issue like this. Re: Trine 2 Android for Snapdragon(Adreno) ?

Tegra has OpenGL support while Android normally offers just OpenGL ES. Also, it wasn't exactly easy to get T2 running on Tegra. Something that has only about 65 % of Tegra's GPU performance would either take a lot more optimizing (or more likely re-writing) effort or have considerable tuned down lo...
