[Linux] Trine 3 hangs on startup (Mesa/radeonsi)

Hi. I recently tested Trine 3 (GOG release, version 1.11 (3102)), and it now hangs on startup for me. The last time I played it on Nvidia with closed driver, and now I'm running it on AMD RX480 with Mesa (I tried stable version as well as latest Mesa built from source, which provides OpenGL 4.5). Ca...

Re: Segfauls on Linux

I just tested the game with my new AMD RX 480 and Mesa 13.0.2. It works very well.

Re: [Linux] Shadwen does not run (segfault)

Requiring high OpenGL version is OK. If you use open drivers, stick to recent AMD (Polaris cards like RX 480). amdgpu + radeonsi are progressing nicely.

Re: Outdated Version of Trine 3 on GOG

We've delivered the new builds to GOG and Humble. Quite a hassle but should work once available, hopefully doesn't take too long. Thanks! Why exactly is it a hassle for you by the way? Don't GOG just take your tarball and repackage it in their own structure, or they expect you to do all that packag...

Also, GOG can easily help you with packaging. Just provide them your latest tarball. How hard is that?

Did you at least manage to reproduce the problem? If you don't have this issue, may be it can help narrowing down conditions under which it occurs.

Re: I Love This Game! More Please!

I'm in my first playthrough and use complete stealth style (non lethal). @shmerl, do you want to turn Shadwen into Scorpion from mortal kombat? :D "Get over here!" :D Yeah, something like that, but in a more sneaky way. :) In addition to the hook Shadwen can use similar mechanism with some...

Re: I Love This Game! More Please!

+ one for deeper story. Take as inspiration Shadow Warrior. It's an action hack-n-slash, yet the story is so good that it's a gem. Action games benefit greatly from putting some more effort in the story. More functional suggestions: * Ability to pull / knock down opponents with a grappling hook (tru...

I see. Then better wait for developers' input.

What GPU do you have, and did you test it with the latest Nvidia driver? Yours looks outdated.

Re: Where Is The Level Editor For The GOG Version?

Unfortunately the Editor is only available through Steam. This is because sharing the content is linked with the Steam Workshop feature. The editor is also only available for Windows. Is it possible for you to make the Steam Workshop optional in the editor, and simply allow saving mods on disk? Tha...

Re: [Linux] Mouse lagging issues

Changing setOption(inputModule, "InputUpdateInterval", 8) to setOption(inputModule, "InputUpdateInterval", 4) in $HOME/.local/share/frozenbyte/Shadwen/options.txt reduces mouse lag in the UI. But it also changes mouse behavior in game (limiting turning range), so it's not really ...

Re: [Linux] Mouse lagging issues

My mouse is Logitech G400s with standard out of the box Linux support. It has hardware DPI adjusting buttons which are adjusting the mouse itself, not the system. I'll run some tests with other mouse, to see if it makes any difference.

Re: Segfauls on Linux

Did anyone test the release on Mesa drivers? GOG lists minimum requirements as OpenGL 4.1. I asked our QA about this but unfortunately they weren't able to give a direct answer to this question. They were able to say that it will not work with drivers before 11.0.0 as they do not support openGL 4.1...

[Linux] Mouse lagging issues

At least in the main menu and in settings menu, mouse is noticeably lagging at times. Changing mouse sensitivity doesn't fix it. I can't yet explain what is causing it. So far didn't test it in the actual game. System: Debian testing x86_64 / KDE Plasma 5. GPU: Nvidia GTX 680 (closed driver 361.42)....

Re: [Linux] Shadwen fails to launch because of no libpng12.s

OK, the hanging happened apparently because without running the launcher, game wasn't properly configured. I managed to start the launcher by copying libpng12 from Debian Jessie into the game's lib/lib64 directory. To developers: can you please either ship libpng12 with the game, or even better, swi...

Re: [Linux] Shadwen fails to launch because of no libpng12.s

Running it directly avoids the problem (since only the launcher depends on the invalid library): LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/games/shadwen/game/lib/lib64 bin/shadwen_linux_64bit But result was hanging with the mouse cursor wasn't moving and it didn't even react to keyboard, so I had to kill the process fro...

[Linux] Shadwen fails to launch because of no libpng12.so.0

Are you going to keep updated demo version available? I see it's gone from GOG now.
