Re: Trine 2 - Crash at launch (steam)

On steam's games list. Right click on Trine 2 and click properties. Then from one of the tabs (can't remember which one it is) you get a button which says "Verify the integrity of game cache" or something like that. Click that and wait until it finishes. You may not have a full download fo...

Re: Box flying

I did this with the rectangular boulder which you can drop on top of the enemy at that one spot. I just spawned a box on top of it and started my magic boulder ride and tried to get as far as possible without hitting the ground. :)

I have a short freeze every time I press Q to destroy an object but the weird thing the freeze happens even when I'm not actually destroying any object and I click Q when my cursor isn't on anything particular.

How you know your game is beyond superb quality?

When you can proudly and boldly say that your in-game non-pre/post-rendered live PICTURES of real gameplay during a level look way more wicked, better and put those post-rendered, enhanced, tampered and edited way beyond over priced AAA industry gameplay TRAILER VIDEOS TO SHAME! AND ABOVE ALL THAT Y...

WHEN THIS PRE-ORDER WENT LIVE! I MISSED THE LAUNCH OF THE PRE-ORDERS!

Thankfully I could pre-order now too but seriously 13€? I expected it to be around 30€ which it really deserves.

Pre-order? Pretty please. :3

It doesn't matter whether the release date will be in the end of this year or in the end of the next year. I just want to pre-order already and support you. :)

Re: What about pricing and regional versions?

I think he means the PC version because if you sell Trine 2 with pricetag of 20$ or 20€ for PC, that starts to be quite low price. Especially for this high quality game. :D

I'm eagerly waiting for the pre-order and I'm even more eagerly waiting it because I know it is going to be very well priced.

Also Trine 2 is so far ahead in development that such radical decissions near endish side of the development aren't likely. Maybe after the release like with Trine and Linux.

Re: Game freezes water plant cutscene

Yeah this is age old problem and I think it was something to do with the water. It could have been related to water rendering and disabling it to get past it or the sound system. I think disabling EAX could solve this. Can't remember the solution but it was some weird stuff like that.

Re: Trine 2 with steam

Desura? Windows has its own marketplace? Never heard of either of those, honestly. Also if I don't remember wrong, steam gives almost all the profits directly to the developers without any hassle. They only take like 10% from each game's sales to themselves. I don't know how Desura and Windows marke...

Re: Does Shadowgrounds use DirectSound3D or OpenAL?

They most likely use the DS3D too because Jack Claw is earlier game than Trine (if I have gathered correct info and remember correctly) so it is logical that if Shadowgrounds uses DS3D and Trine uses it too then very likely Jack Claw between those two games uses it too. And so most likely splot uses...

Heh. You said you are a bit worried because you made your first source code launch. Usually gaming companies are worried because they NEVER EVER want to do any kind of source code releases at all. :D

Re: Uhm... Is it SUPPOSED to look like this?

You either have corrupt render files or your drivers are badly installed. I have the same card GTX 460 (with 1Gb memory and it's overclocked to be as fast as GTX 470) and I haven't experienced that. Or simply your card's warranty has experied and its starting to fall into pieces and it has happened ...

When can we pre-order?

I'm eagerly waiting for Trine 2 pre-order and I'm already ready to pre-order this game (given that the price isn't over 50€) so when we can pre-order this game and will it be on Steam like the previous games?

Yeah but you also should think of the little children putting away this game because of it bugs and degree of unfinishment. ;)

Just tell them that longer they wait, the better the game will be to play. :D

From where you bought it? If you have the physical copy, either inside the box or at the back of the manual. If you bought it from Steam, then you have to bring up the Library -> Games list and from there right click on Trine and select View game CD Key. I don't know how other shops handle the CD ke...
