Re: Frozenbyte Community forums open, thoughts?

It's a very good step in the right direction to grow your community for your current games and any future ones. It also makes it easier to monitor on your guys end.

"Everything is wrong about it" is a stupid and nondescriptive reason. It's a content delivery system that gives more money to developers, which seems to work fairly well in that regards. It's not really even that buggy anymore. Granted some people still can't get it to work (a very small p...

Finding secrets has nothing to do with stopping the crashes. What you've experienced is purely coincidental.

All it does is add something to your boot.ini file, I think, so windows can more properly synchronize both processors, so really, it's a problem with all dual core CPU's.

I dunno, maybe, but all normal ATX cases should be compatible with micro ATX cases. I say this because every PC I have built in the past few years, there have been holes where the mount screws go for micro ATX boards, normal ATX boards, and ATX boards that are slightly larger than normal. If you hav...

Do you have AMD's dual core optimizer installed? That could potentially help (what you're describing seems to be a common with a lot of older games and not having that installed). http://www.amd.com/us-en/Processors/TechnicalResources/0,,30_182_871_13118,00.html This may not fix your problem, but it...

I'm not trolling, in fact my point was made with every post in this topic. STOP SPAMMING THE FORUMS WITH REDUNDANT TOPICS! That's a no-no on any forum you go to. The fact that I need to spell it out only speaks volumes about you.

Why would I be constructive when you fail to read? Yes, he said a patch was released, but he also asked if anyone was still crashing (meaning he thought that the patch had fixed the problem, but wasn't 100% sure). A little comprehension skills goes a long way. Also, if you read the release notes, it...

The health thing is a known issue. If you would have read the topic in full, you'd see that. I haven't played it since either of the updates, but it seemed pretty random for me. I could play a few levels as a particular person and it the health would at one point rise beyond their maximum capacity o...

Here's a long shot, but try verifying the integrity of the game cache (right click, go to properties, it's in there somewhere). If that doesn't work, uninstall and reinstall.

Also, update drivers if you have not done so in a while.

Updating Direct X (or installing it correctly) would have fixed that problem. That problem occurs because the file is missing, either from lack of updating or not installing it correctly. It not installing correctly usually isn't a problem on your end. It just sometimes doesn't work right for some p...

Which problem are you getting? Nothing happening or the error occurring? If you're getting the error, update your Direct X.

Look, the storyline wasn't hard to follow. If you really had a hard time following it, that is your own problem. Your first problem is that you assumed "Survivor" meant that only those people were survivors. No where in the game did it mention that! Keep in mind that we also do no know how...

Did you actually try running the installer (dxwebsetup.exe)?

Also, have you tried updating drivers for your video card? (Always another good place to start if you ever have any issues with a game.)

STEAM has posted a changelog.

1. Fixed bonus options not saving.
2. Fixed potential rare crash.

To me, it seems like they really didn't fix much of anything posted in the bug reports topic, or the load level crash. Perhaps in the next update.

I didn't have any issues making the connection either. I don't know what the OP's problem is.
