Re: PSN downtime affecting sales/profits

So how do you guys, as a company, feel about this incident? Has your trust for Sony/PSN diminished? Are you guys considering, based on the incidents, to expand to other services or to ditch the PSN altogether?

Re: Few questions

Dear Frozenbyte, I loved the first Trine and I'm excited for the new online co-op mode in Trine 2. I bought Trine through steam, and during a sale I bought Trine for a couple friends. Now that Trine 2 is co-op, will there be a preorder discount, or a 3 pack discount? Secondly, how will online be ha...

Re: Digital download only?

It is only worth it to get the special edition of a boxed (only if the special edition comes with something physical). Otherwise, it's pointless to get it since there is no effort put into boxed games anymore. Stamp discs, put in DVD case, print flimsy booklet, and ship. Nothing special at all. Need...

Did any of the previous publishers ask for a multi-game contract? Did you guys ask for any? Did any other publishers come to you to publish one of your games?

Honestly, I was hoping for something more along the lines of Shadowgrounds. Oh, and the Trine 2 forums are sorta "locked".

Re: FrozenByte with Amiga Roots?

Since there's no collector's edition, is there a thing you guys can do, maybe weekly, maybe daily, for a while to explain the history of the games you've made and show screenshots and possibly videos of the process? This is a company I find I really have a heart for and would be very interested in ...

Re: New Engine?

I'm no expert on this but I'd say it's a mix of both. So yes, we are in fact rewriting many very "basic" algorithms and other kind of code that is related to gameplay and the very core of the engine. In a sense it's starting from scratch. Some parts will remain or get improved upon but a ...

Re: New Engine?

so how does a dev team come around to building their own engine? Obviously you guys aren't creating from complete scratch because then you'd need to write all the algorithms for showing models and stuff. Where is the starting point? Do you take old technology and build upon that? Or do you combine t...

New Engine?

Are you guys thinking of switching engines? It seems the logical choice since your fanbase is asking for online multiplayer and the current engine doesn't support it. The Unreal Development Kit is free for non-commercial use, so you guys could easily learn it on your own time. Only problem is money:...

from Frozenbyte there is only: Shadowgrounds, Shadowgrounds: Survivor, and Trine. From other PC games on the same computer, well I don't really know of any games for 4 players on the computer. You could try the following two games: Bionic Commando Rearmed (2 players). http://store.steampowered.com/a...
