I had problems with SLI, too. With two 7800GTX I only reached about 15fps. However, with SLI deactivated I got steady 100+ fps...

Seems like the SLI support is a little bugged :(

The single comp co-op may be enough for your needs, but that is not the case for majority of people as you have noticed. Indeed. I certainly agree, that it wouldn't have hurt to have an online coop mode. But (and that's basically my point-of-view): Shadowgrounds is an excellent top-down-shooter wit...

Had a problem with the airlock at the Emicron base again. This time it wouldn't let us in, so we weren't able to get the bomb. :(

Which driver version do you have? If it's old, maybe update to a newer version.

I have 3200+, too, as well as 6800GT, so our systems are somewhat similar. Haven't had any gfx problems with the official 81.87 BETA drivers from the nVidia page so far.

True, I had the best ( multiplayer ) games played face to face. Cross the net multiplayer is fun, but not as fun beating the guy right next to you and seeing the expression on his/hers face when you crush him/her :) So true. I wouldn't even have bought this game, if it had only LAN/online coop. Nob...

By the way, are there any plans for a German-to-English patch? The German voices certainly aren't bad (seen a lot games with much worse voice acting), but I'm a little curious about how good the English ones actually are ;)

Ok, gotta try to find out what the problem with the SLI is... Hopefully it can be fixed in some future game patch or display drivers. Meanwhile, I hope you can bear playing the game with the SLI deactivated. Sure, the game is too much fun to miss it ;) Just thought, you guys might find this info in...

Re: A few questions about Shadowgrounds

Here is what I can tell you about it: 1. The German version certainly doesn't come with English language or speech. Only German is available... text translation is good, the voices are okay, too (though not stellar). 2. It is indeed playable via gamepad, if it has 2 analog sticks - anything less mig...

SLI - huge performance issue

Uhm... I just stumbled across a major issue, i think. The game runs horribly slow on nVidia GeForce 7800GTX SLI systems. At least, it runs really bad on the system of my brother and by that i mean with constant 15 fps (1280 resolution, very high details settings). Basic System Specs are: Athlon FX-5...

I'm not so sure about that. Coop always is better, when you're facing your partner in real life. Playing through a cable with some anonymous guy hundreds of miles away just isn't the same thing. It's ok, if you're playing deathmatch, but for great coop I prefer to know and see the guys I play with -...

Re: Oh my god, it's GORGEOUS!

I am playing Shadowgrounds with fullest detail, at 1280x resolution and there is absolutely no drop in performance anywhere no matter how much explosions and flying particles are filling the screen. It is perfectly smooth. My experience is, that the performance during battles in Singleplayer is way...

Not Starforce, but ProtectCD 6.x

I had problems starting the game, too, but got it sorted out after a while.

Of course, there is. Up to 2-4 players can play coop on a single pc through the whole campaign. No LAN or online modes, though.

As for the airlock, I tested it and it should work. All the players should stand in the middle of the airlock for it to work, though, perhaps this was the problem? Hmm, strange. We were both inside the airlock, but it didn't let us pass, although we tried it for 5-10 minutes. Don't know, maybe we j...

Guess, I found another game-stopping bug: *again, possible spoiler alert!* A few levels later, after installing the engine into the alien ship and uploading the software, me and my buddy went into the delta labs to get the bomb. We killed about half of the local alien population there and went throu...

Game-stopping bug / nitpicking

First to the nitpicking: During the cutscenes, the crosshair of the second player can be seen the whole time on-screen. Don't know about the crosshairs of the third and fourth player, because I only played it with two players max. Although it's not critical, it's still a bit annoying ;) But now on t...

Re: Shadowgrounds available in Germany and Finland

Germany and Finland are the only releases in 2005, so consider yourself lucky. Other territories will have to wait for Q1 2006. Oh, that's a shame. It's a really fun (and sometimes very tough) shooter and actually I'm enjoying it a bit more than the also excellent Alien Swarm mod. Don't know, I lik...

I don't get it... the devs work hard to at least get some sort of Coop into the game and you can't stop complaining about not being able to play online or via LAN? What's the point? Delay the game a few months more while asking the publishers to please give more money, so that a new feature can be b...
