Re: Future Achievements, Suggestions?

I like some of the ideas posted here. Playing a lot of Team Fortress 2 I'm used to playing for achievements and some extra wouldn't hurt. The existing ones are mostly pretty standard and/or dull (get all xp in every level, complete the game, etc... not really that original). I like achievements like...

Re: MORE CONTENT PLEASE

Try playing the game in 3 player co-op :) I really don't have a problem with the puzzles. I don't think they're too repetitive (maybe sometimes, but that's like 3 or 4 levels apart from eachother, so not really a big deal). And like stated before : there really are multiple ways BESIDES the obvious ...

Re: Trine (PC Version) Wii controller glovepie scripts

If people want my script Ill post it, but it seems there isn't anyone using wiimotes for this game. That's not true :) I'm going to try it myself tomorrow and the more scripts I have to try, the more chance to get it up and running (and comment on those scripts). So please : post your script

Re: Aww man.. no online Co-op?

Just read that Starcraft 2 will not be supporting LAN co-op (only through battle.net)... maybe some of the people here should change forums to go complain some more?

Re: Lauri's top list of how Trine or Frozenbyte screws players

Great thread, you should sticky it :D In fact, they're not the only ones doing it. Valve has a fun way of making blog posts as well (like someone said for L4D2, but I also remember the hilarious rant after the leaked Spy video for team fortress 2). It may seem unprofessional at first, but once you g...

Re: My crystal ball has finally arrived ...

So... if I read between the lines correctly :

- DLC is coming (in 5 different parts? or 5 different addons (1 character, extra level, extra items, extra achievements, ...))
- high interest may = online co-op
- new project is in development (Trine 2?)\

All sounds very nice indeed :D

Re: What can be found in the demo? (may contain spoilers)

I encountered a serious bug at the site of the first treasture *SPOILERS AHEAD* To get to the second rotating wheel (on which you have to stand to get to the chest) you first need to tilt the wooden bar (the one with the weights hanging from them). When I tried this by using the wizard to bring down...

Re: Frozenbyte has messed up again?

I think it is about time people stopped complaining about the lack of online co-op for Trine. It is clear that those complaining about it the most have little experience with programming a game themselves. Networked options have indeed risen to the level of being "standard" in a game, but ...

Re: Trine now in Steam pre-order

Since i've gotten it for free with the pre-order I'll be sure to check it out before Trine is released. I looked up some screenshots yesterday and it looked very good. Perspective is very original, so I'm interested in the game :) (also very interested in Trine of course :D )

Re: PC release date: 10th of July

Like he has said in multiple topics already : it's out of his hands, just be patient, it will come out eventually  I'm really thrilled as well that there is now a pretty fixed release date (at least for pc, the platform for which I will be buying the game, through steam). I can't seem to find ...

It will be coming to the XBox360 in the fall. PSN release is first (end June/begin July) and PC about 2 weeks later.

Yes, it will be coming to steam and this from day one of PC release (according to the current information). Also: very interesting launch date. Right at the beginning of the summer holiday so there will be a lot of time to play  One thing I can't seem to remember to read much about is how m...

Re: Acord to Atlus Trine coming to XBLA too

Thanks for the reply Cedge. I wasn't really sure about the PS3 having PhysX-capable GPU but I figured that even if it hadn't, the software version could still run fast enough (because of the huge amount of CPU-power in PS3). I was under the impression XBOX360 didn't have nearly as much processing po...

Re: Acord to Atlus Trine coming to XBLA too

I have to say I'm quite interested in the technical implications of this news. I'm not really up-to-date with all the hardware in the gaming consoles but I was under the impression that XBox doesn't have NVidia PhysX-capable GPU's. If this is correct it would mean the game would be run via some kind...

Re: Questions for the Developers

There is little difference between LAN or online co-op support in terms of technical difficulties. The problem with this kind of game are primarily the physics. When there are so many different possibilities and manipulable objects in the game, which all interact with each other as well, all these o...

Re: Trine on PS3 (PSN)

I can answer some of these questions (most of them are answered on the forum already) : - online co-op : not at launch, only same-system. Maybe later as an update. - DLC is a (propable) option - No idea about amount of levels, but I think playtime was about 10 hours on 1 difficulty - They think abou...

Re: Questions about Trine on the PC

Glad you like the idea. There are a lot of different possibilities: - GlovePie is a program that can convert wiimote input to keystrokes and mouse-movement (not realy sure if it supports nunchuck though) - WiiYourself is a c++ library which is relatively easy to use (on the website you'll also find ...

Re: Trine hands-on previews

The french review first talks about Frozenbyte and about the fact that you'll be releasing the game on PSN (which they think is a good choice). It then compares Trine to games as Little Big Planet, The Lost Vikings, Braid and Silicon & Synapse. After this they discuss the characters in Trine, st...

Re: Questions about Trine on the PC

One more question about the multiplayer-on-PC issue. I'm currently working with the nintendo WiiMote, which you can also hook up to your computer using bluetooth (there are a lot of different libraries out there to make using the WiiMote-data very easy). Would it be possible to play the game in co-o...

Re: Multiplayer?

same-system coop is something that's easily done on PS3 (3 controllers)... but how about the PC(most PC-users don't have controllers...)? If there is no full-online support (e.g. no trine-servers and such) will there be LAN-possibilities for PC-players?
