Re: Mutliplayer Questions

Yes the console versions also support server browsing and 2local+1remote client. There isn't that much difference between the console and pc versions "above the hood". The core features work the same no matter which platform. just had to make sure. I thought that all developers thought th...

Re: Mutliplayer Questions

Considering pre-ordering Trine 2 on steam after watching a TotalBiscuit video about the beta, but I have 2 questions first regarding its mutliplayer aspects before I purchase. 1: Is the online co-op a server browsing system where games are listed and can be selected to join random people, or is the...

PS3 - PS Move?

I think the last time this question was asked, it was meet with "we will see" - or something down that line. Now that release is getting closer, I assume the answer is no. However, would a Move patch maybe be something that could be contemplated? I used glovepie and the wiimote on Trine fo...

Re: Beta?

if you have a level editor, it would be awesome to have a beta for it. That way when the game becomes available there will be mods for it. Tripwire is doing that and its a great idea.

Chances are you would have already announced a level/mod editor already if you had one however :(

Re: MOD TOOL can make the game last longer.

I would be ok with just allowing users to post files on their own websites and then just simply place them into a mod folder. Its the way its been done for decades for PC modders, it will still be fine for the hardcore Trine players.

And... I would pay for mod tools if thats the problem.

I would much rather mod tools (for either), but online multiplayer for Trine 1 would be a welcome surprise as well.

nice! I just got the humble bundle after seeing you had a linux version. I figured I should support companies who do this, even if it means buying it twice.

Re: Best haiku voting! (ends Nov 8th)

The only problem with this method is that people just get their friends to register for accounts to vote. If its coming from different IPs, cities etc. its hard to monitor. Sure you are getting new forum members, which is great for you guys, but most of the new registrations will probably never post...

Re: PS Move support

the wiimote for the PC version worked ok, not great though. It would be interesting to use though. I would be ok if they implemented that only one player in multiplayer mode could use it, the wizard is really the main character where its way better than the controller. The other players can survive ...

Re: Requests

a game menu with more info and manual built in would be helpful. When I played I never understood the character info to level up, I just clicked around until something happened. I also didn't know the thief could jump off walls until after I beat the game. Although secret skills and such are nice - ...

Re: Trine 2 previews/news from E3 2010

$40 was too much for the original. If it had a level editor (sorry to sound like a broken record) it would be worth it as it would add hours more playtime to the game.

Re: Trine 2 previews/news from E3 2010

nice to see the "slow down time" ability I suggested made it in, although I gave it to the wizard :P.

anyway, cant wait to see screenshots.

online multiplayer is definitely a welcome! now we just need an editor for the PC version so we can play trine well past the original campaign :P.

Re: setting keys in config.

thanks the read only for the file didn't help. apparently its just recognizing the keys set in the menu. Any time I set a key in the keybinds.txt with notepad it doesnt work. If I set it in the game's menu and come back the key bind shows up as expected. its strange that I cant just set it in .txt f...

Re: setting keys in config.

yea I think part of the problem is the fact that the in-game menu has to set the key. If I change any key even to ones I know are valid in the binds\keyboard\1\keybinds.txt file when I start the game it just keeps what was last set in the game. I did make sure I was setting the right control setting...

Next Trine

I know there have been a few posts about this in the past, but I was playing again last night and thought of some cool ideas for the next installment in the Trine saga. First, I would gladly pay $40+ for Trine 2 if it has the following: 1) Online multiplayer - this would be big! 2) The game would ha...

Re: A Request

We thought this option a lot when we finalized the game, but eventually it was left out due the fact we didn't have time for the changes it had required. However, at the moment I'd say with Wizard it's already possible to play thru the entire game. With Thief it might also be possible, but with Kni...

I'm not sure if we support those keys unfortunately. :( Can you post a picture of the keyboard layout (you can use e.g. google image search to find the appropriate one) so I can see if there would be some way... I have been doing another playthrough and wanted to adjust some keys. So I found the key config but what character do I need to set left and right brackets "[" and "]". I noticed that I cant set them in the menu.

Re: Level editor: speculations, rumours and information

for Trine 2, you definately need a level editor and a minor mod tools/scripting. I was just playing it last night and thought, "how cool would it be to do a remake of the old NES classic 'Wizards and Warriors'" But in order to do that, you would need a way to create items and give them pro...
