Re: Criticism on the game

Most of the points are valid. The only one I didn't personally experience was the swinging Thief stopping on contact with an skeleton -- in my experience, she did in fact knock it clear across the room (there's an achievement tied to this, "The Cool Way"). I'm jumping to FB's defense not b...

Re: Online Co-op theory

Ahh, DESYNC. Bane of co-op gaming. How I've totally not missed you. It's the start of a good idea, though. I think this is a basic solution to the situation you end up with when an engine isn't designed around netcode... the SNES emulators had no choice to but to do things this way, I think. iirc, t...

Re: MORE CONTENT PLEASE

Those weirder ideas were intended only for the Very Hard difficulty, not touching the other ones. Currently, fighting in Very Hard is fairly easy -- so long as I can find myself a corner to back into, I just hold out my shield, wait for the skellie to swing, then beat him up, and wait for the next o...

Re: Questions about Trine on the PC

I have a Rumblepad 2 (my favorite controller, btw) and it works just fine. Make sure you go into the last page of configurations (after the Knight's options) and set the Axis X and Axis Y to your right stick. The Xbox360's controller is very dominant in today's PC gaming scene just because it's very...

Re: MORE CONTENT PLEASE

It's a pity that Trine wasn't designed with user-made content in mind. Even if these user-made levels weren't visually appealing, the game play potential in terms of new puzzles is neigh limitless. I really think Achievements are one of the worst trends in recent video games. Trine's are pretty good...

Re: Tower Level - Frozenbyte fails!

I'm glad that last level was in there, though my friend I was co-oping with was not so impressed. Trine is a fairly easy game, as it's pretty much impossible to fail and the checkpoint system is very forgiving (I see this as a good thing-- thank you FB for a "Restart at Last Checkpoint" fu...

Re: Who was your first favorite character, and who eventually?

Before playing: Thief -- I generally like the high-agility characters, and girls are easy on the eyes. Eventually: Wizard when possible, Thief for battles. I really love that all three characters control very differently. Amadeus the Magnificent is the star of the show as he's got telekinesis combin...

Re: Anyone with NO problems with the price?

Trine is refreshing, and it bleeds quality. I was on the fence between pre-purchasing and waiting for Steam weekend sale, but I played the demo ... and pre-ordered in a snap. I also started playing Shadowgrounds with my friend last night. Hours of good co-op fun, I'm telling you. >.< And I don't thi...
