Re: Tried Demo, Disappointed

I just wanted to give some feedback on why I won't be buying the game after trying the demo (from Steam.) I really enjoyed "The Lost Vikings" back in the day, so I had high hopes for this when I saw it on Steam. I downloaded the demo, then played through the first part of the first level....

Re: PS3 graphics on par with PC?

id imagine ps3 version is 720p maximum, whereas the PC version does 1080p and higher as long as your PC is good enough... resolution isnt that important really, 480p, 720p, 1080p look increasingly better but it doesnt alter the gameplay at all and the main affect on graphics is simply less jaggies.....

Re: Trine (PC Version) Wii controller glovepie scripts

It seemed to do well. I didnt remap at all. I am just running the demo though and was really just playing around - not really getting into it. I am waiting on the PSN version. fair enough, you do realise that if you plug a wii classic controller (with new glovepie script) in or even just use a xbox...

Re: Trine (PC Version) Wii controller glovepie scripts

ok further inspection on how to get everything going. 1) Connect your wiimote to windows (I use wiiconnect utility) - when connecting hold 1 and 2 down until it finds your device. sometimes you have to run it a few times. The systray will show the drivers connecting then it should say "1 devic...

Re: Trine (PC Version) Wii controller glovepie scripts

OK, I got it working. It was my first time using the IR bar and it wasn't as easy as just turning on your wii to get it to work (you have to sync the controller with the PC first and then turn on the wii with a second controller and get into the menu so the IR bar can turn on). I had to do a bit of...

Re: Trine (PC Version) Wii controller glovepie scripts

Maybe if this thread could be sticky? because I know a lot of players would love to play it with wiimote.. i think it could be linked in a sticky thread? that would be fine (just so people can get access to it easily) but thats up to the forum owners/frozenbyte developers... also dark jee, you coul...

Re: Trine (PC Version) Wii controller glovepie scripts

thanks. just tried it, didn't work for me. not sure why. The mouse IR didnt work (Wii was on for power to the IR bar) and also the wasd didnt work with the controller. the A and B buttons worked at least. Maybe Ill take a stab at it for use in controller mode. that way it can work for multiple wiim...

Re: Trine (PC Version) Wii controller glovepie scripts

ps: if you do edit this script for your own use, i recommend not touching any of the IR pointer code at all... just alter the suggested parameters in the script and the keyboard/button config and analog stick assignments at the bottom of the script...

Your Answer is only some posts up on this page. The final ending cutscene is only in the full game :D So at least i have understand what you said @FB_Lauri. ;) i only wish the bug that movies stop too early will get fixed. with your soundproblem, i can not help. At least you should give some more i...

Re: Some bugs *Updated 6/30/09*

another couple of bugs to report here... first one is that when i complete the demo i see no cutscene or anything, it skips straight back to the menu screen (which im guessing its not supposed to do?) second one, i find sometimes the audio just disappears completely and i have to restart the game (s...

Re: Who was your first favorite character, and who eventually?

in the demo version im enjoying the thief most so far, because she has the most interesting gameplay mechanics i think, the bow physics work great and the same can be said for the grapple mechanics... i do love the wizards magic as well too tho and the knight is great for some more simple hack/slash...

Re: Trine (PC Version) Wii controller glovepie scripts

Woah.. I didn't read the code because I don't even have bluetooth on my comp so its useless, but, with that you can play with wiimote+nunchuk? :O yep :) i actually think its probably the best way to play it personally, or at least its definitely going to suit those who want mouse/keys style control...

Trine (PC Version) Wii controller glovepie scripts

ok just a little info on how it works, you need a pc with blue tooth adaptor (some adaptors apparently dont work with the wii remote, not sure which tho) a wii remote/nunchuck, wii sensor bar, a free program called glovepie ( 0.29 available free here http://carl.kenner.googlepages.com/glovepie_downl...

The final ending cutscene is only in the full game :D Ah, simple misunderstanding. No real issues then Yes, this is annoying "feature" we didn't have time to fix, but we hoped players would not exploit it forever  It's one I've never managed to elegantly fix myself in mouse-aiming p...

Re: Trine - Great Game but Major Control/Gameplay Problems

Well as soon as Natal comes out I think the Wiimote and all that stuff is pretty obsolete. If you don´t care for good graphics then thats your opinion, I on the other hand prefer graphics that don´t look like something from 5 years ago, regardless of the gameplay you are so fond of. And Galaxy woul...

Re: Trine - Great Game but Major Control/Gameplay Problems

Trine would be bad on Wii, because the Wii sucks.... I wouldn´t want to have visuals that look like a game from 5 years ago. Sorry, but the Wii is just a joke from Nintendo. great so now the kiddies start their "omg graphics arent good enough on wii" crap... why do you think graphic...

Re: Trine - Great Game but Major Control/Gameplay Problems

I must confess that I have also had serious issues getting a controller to work. The controller in question is a Logitech RumblePad 2, and the specific issue is with player 2 (the controller player) has no way of controlling his cursor. This renders the Thief's grappling hook / bow fairly redundant...

Re: Wow, Trine is selling well it seems

Trine is at 5th place in weekly sales on Steam! That's pretty good. Only being beaten by Arma 2, Dawn of Discovery, L4D, and Overlord II. Does Frozenbyte get the money from the sales when the game comes out, or now? Either way I'm thinking their local pubs must be doing pretty well for themselves r...
