Re: Linux bugs

Hi BenJ and sorry for the delay, Do you have wireless or wired controller? It seems that the wireless gamepads don't work at the moment but normal ones with wires do. We tested this with Xbox controller. As for the dragon and the water, we didn't manage to reproduce these. The dragons can get stuck...

Linux bugs

I know you guys probably have your hands full, and it probably doesn't make economic sense to put too much effort into the Linux version, but it can't hurt to keep track of the bugs anyway. -First and foremost, apparently this version can't utilize gamepads. It detects them, but you can't map the co...

Re: Will there be x86_64 releases of Trine 2 and Goblin Mena

Why can't you just install Ubuntu on a small partition for Trine? Yeah, sucks you have to reboot to play but you can play the game.

New major bugs with latest update.

So I started playing Trine 2 a few months ago, stopped playing for a little bit, and picked it up recently to beat the main campaign. The update came out during that gap, and I've noticed some bugs. The audio is really messed up. Many sound effects are very quiet, or missing. For example, the checkp...

Trine 2 DLC issue: Can't jump when grappling

When I'm hooked on to something as the Thief, I can't jump. The only way to let go is to switch characters.

Anybody else having this problem?

Yeah, this problem extends to the regular game too...

Bug: Controller doesn't work until I view it in config

So the game always starts off in Keyboard and mouse mode, and my controller isn't even selectable on the game settings screen until I navigate to controller configuration first and click on a controller. So this is a little tedious process I have to go through each time I start the game. Also, I can...

Re: Can't map movement to buttons

That said, I don't really see a problem with your version either, except that 14 means Button 15 (it's just a more technical form used internally by the game, indexed from 0 instead of 1)

Yep, that was the issue, thanks.

Can't map movement to buttons

My d-pad isn't a POV hat switch, each direction simply a button, so I need the ability to have buttons be used as directionals. However when I try to map Up (button 13) to Up in the controller configuration menu, it will say "Button 13" for a moment, but then it will revert to Axis 2. I ca...

Re: Will a Pentium 4 still cut the mustard?

That's great news. I'm really glad you guys are taking optimization seriously. The same can't be said for many big developers. Whether or not Trine 2 will support the GPU PhysX, that remains to be seen. Can't really know until closer to release. This is what I was wondering. I do have the old Ageia ...

Will a Pentium 4 still cut the mustard?

I played Trine on max detail with a pentium 4 with pretty smooth frame rates (my video card is good). Should I be able to do the same with Trine 2?

And if you implement hardware physx this time, that should help me out as I have a dedicated card for that.

Re: Physx questions

Thanks Joel. I thought my graphics card was plenty powerful enough to handle the game on max settings. The Sapphire HD3850 has 256-bit interface and a really fast processor, so it actually outperforms many in the 4000 series. However, the graphics does need to communicate with the CPU, and that migh...

Physx questions

A couple questions: Which elements of the game actually use the physx engine? I know the boxes and levers use physx, but what about the fire and water effects? Also, does Trine take advantage of Nvidia cards with physx acceleration? Or is it entirely done on the cpu, even if you have a compatible ca...
