The game doesn't seem easily moddable though. But even if you can't make levels from scratch, just being able to move some of the simpler pieces like platforms, enemies, and ability-availability would be interesting enough in itself.

Everyone should try to replay Trine without upgrading abilities at all (especially not the Wizard's) and giving items to the character least able to use them. You can play the game like this just fine!
The only problem is that the bats get annoying.

What I mean is that it is a waste of time to load the next level if you're not going to play it, f.ex. if you want to play the same level again, an earlier level, or wants to quit and do something else. Sending players to the level-select screen or asking wether the player wants to play the next lev...

If one character is slower than the others, that means the other players will have to WAIT for him. Anyway, for the Thief to be able to pull objects just sounds like downgrade of what the Wizard can already do. Now, in T1 the Wizard could manipulate objects freely, but couldn't put speed into them (...
