Re: Mac: cannot select RumblePad 2 as input

Hello, I believe I'm having the same problem. Trying to play Trine 2 version 1.19 (App Store) on OS X 10.6.8, with wiimotes through OSCulator (which emulates HID gamepads). They work just fine in any other applications, and I've read some stories of people who edited their binding files manually an...

Re: No character starting Trine 2 with gamepad

Out of curiosity, which controller(s) do you recommend using with Trine 2 that work natively (Xinput)? XInput defines directions and meanings of axises and buttons, so any XInput gamepad will work (you should be able to play even with e.g. Rock Band guitar, although that would be rather limited). D...

Re: No character starting Trine 2 with gamepad

Here is my console output when I launch Trine 2 from Steam and do a few things. Using only the gamepad, I: resume my game, press every available button, access the menu (L2 button), go into the control setup options, exit my game, then quit the game in general. Once again, I have no character on th...

Re: Trine 2 Multiplayer Lag

Hello. I have some problem with Trine 2 multiplayer. SP works fine and i have 20-40 fps on highest settings (except AA and 3D). But when i play in MP (host or not) i have only 5-10 fps and it's simply unplayble. Thing is, i tried demo (right now and almost a year ago) and it works MUCH better then ...

Re: Trine 2 on Ubuntu 12.10 - Controller working only on men

I didn't tried it yet, but what if I get config files from Windows and copy them to my Linux partition? Do you think that it'll work? No. Low-level input system is different (we use SDL on Linux) so it would be really surprising if bindings just happened to be the same. Controller names certainly a...

Re: Axis inverted on Saitek P990 (solved)

Hello Nono, fengmmsocks Configure controls menu should handle your situation, but apparently there's still something broken there. If you go to the menu, change some bindings, go back and then return to menu, have your changes disappeared? What I'm trying to find out is whether the saving of modifie...

Re: Rant about using PhysX

Well, I do find that the Windows version runs faster even at 1366*768 (which is the maximum resolution of my laptop). The Windows version is the latest one available on Steam, which I think is 1.17. However, the Linux version is 1.16 (I bought through the Humble Store thingy on the Trine 2 website)...

Re: Weird ping issues since Goblin Menace (9999 pings)

So all the facts point towards a problem with your game and not our equipment. That may well be, but unless we can reproduce the problem, it's nearly impossible to fix it. We aren't sitting on some pile of known network bugs that we just refuse to fix. Any logs and information about your setup coul...

Re: Rant about using PhysX

Well, maybe I was wrong in suggesting that PhysX is what's causing the performance problem. However, in Windows I am able to overclock the CPU, and at 1.4 Ghz (quad core remember), the game is slow but at 2.3 Ghz, the game runs much smoother. CPU is certainly a bottleneck. There's one easy way to c...

Re: Rant about using PhysX

Edit: and, PhysX IS run on the GPU as well, not just on the CPU. earlier, there were dedicated PhysX cards made by Ageia, but now according to Nvidia, PhysX is accelerated through CUDA on the GPU. As Borc said (I'm just chiming in so you can hear these things straight from developer), Trine 2 doesn...

Re: Will there be x86_64 releases of Trine 2 and Goblin Mena

My guess is that he's talking about Linux version. Unfortunately, not all of the middleware we use supports 64 bits. As long as that's the case, releasing a 64 bit version is rather hard.

Re: Detailed feedback from heavy Trine 2 players

I thought this feature was not only intended, but it was great game design. Unfortunately, the high jump feature has been fixed on purpose. Judging from the code, it didn't work consistently before (although you seem to have come up with a way to trigger it at will), so adding it back wouldn't be j...

Re: Detailed feedback from heavy Trine 2 players

First of all, thank you for your feedback. Many of your suggestions are good, but unfortunately, there's usually a reason why things are as they are. For example, cinematic skipping in multiplayer would be nice, but non-trivial in practise (from both player experience and technical point), so we hav...

Re: Mac: cannot select RumblePad 2 as input

Thank you for quick replies. This would be fine if you'll give hints on config files. Ok, here goes :) . First, start the game, go to Configure Controls menu and change any keyboard binding. You can actually reset the change right away, but it may be easier for following steps, if you don't do that...

It isn't, exactly: it's related to any gamepad with analog sticks. While we fixed another bug, a new one was introduced (it has been fixed now, but we haven't yet have time to update the game on Steam).

It is common that you can not collect all the EXPs in some levels. If you are in EASY MODE, you can collect them. Maybe we should wait for Frozenbyte to fix it. :) There aren't any known bugs about missing level experience. We are looking into some enemy experience bugs (and have found at least one...

You don't need to beat the final chapter (or actually any chapter) to be able to play Goblin Menace. However, since it is probably more satisfying to beat final chapter even with cheats than just watch it from Youtube, you should check out the FAQ (http://trine2.com/help/faq/). Search for cheats. Okay, I thought I would give it one last try. Hello I am playing Trine2 with a Logitech f510 and it works more or less, but I discovered a bug in the game in conjunction with the gamepad. I can swing with the thief but if I press the A button (which works for jumping quite nicely for all three figures) then the rope is not released like it sho...
