Re: Single Player

Yes the heroes are the same. There are other characters in the story though, and the enemies are more "active" as well. But the Wizard, Knight and Thief are the only playable characters.

Re: Release date

XBLA, PSN, Windows (Steam), Mac (Steam and possibly Mac App Store) will all release at the same time, yes - give or take 24 hours or so.

We'll have to see about a multiple copy bundle, we'd like to do it but it's a little complicated in some ways so I don't want to promise it yet.

Re: [Linux 64Bit] SG: disappearing sounds

Sorry. :( Can't promise a fix either because we haven't been able to find what's causing the issue. It is very annoying for sure. My only suggestion is to complete the level without sounds, usually you're quite close to the end so that's probably better than starting it from the beginning. And of co...

Re: HELP:Can't get Trine to work with a PS3 controller on my

Wow. I'm going to test this at some point. I'm confident we'll get this working eventually because we have pretty good plans for Trine 2, and are currently configuring various gamepads for it. So we'll test this first with Trine 2 and if we can confirm it works then we'll see why it won't work with ...

Re: Black screen on tutorial page

Hmm, this is an interesting case. The first Mac Pro has an nVidia GeForce 7300 GT graphics card (unless you have the model with the nVidia Quadro FX 4500 graphics card - that might explain everything). The 7300 should in theory run the game. However, it might be that the drivers for that are so old ...

Re: Trine gamepad controllers configuration tips/troubleshoo

Thanks (and sorry). I'll have to check if this is indeed a bug or some weird "as designed" issue (which I think it is, for some reason). What gamepad are you using? We are currently configuring gamepads for Trine 2 and I hope that we'll be able to update Trine 1 after the launch of the seq...

Re: HELP:Can't get Trine to work with a PS3 controller on my

I fear we may be out of luck here... The game generally supports gamepads ok, however on the Mac it hasn't been tested all that much. The Xbox 360 Controller works and is default, and I think some Logitech ones also work. Those are the only ones we've been able to test. One alternative would be to u...

Re: Running Trine makes MacbookPro go into Overdrive!!

This is probably normal. The game uses a lot of graphics power so the graphics card will run hot, and the Mac will then try to cool it down. If you would like to make it run a bit less hot, then we can limit the framerate of the game. To do this, open the ingame console terminal with the Fn+F8 butto...

I'd suggest restarting the Mac just in case, and then trying again.

If that doesn't help, can you let me know your Mac specs/model info?

Re: Mac Lag

Sorry to hear. This is indeed a known issue but unfortunately we don't have a fix. :( It is most likely related to sounds, as that's what tracing the problem reveals, but the cause is very elusive. One theory is also that if you avoid using the Pulse Rifle, the problem won't happen as often. This is...

Well the pre-order window has shortened (so it's not 2-3 months, it's shorter time). We are discussing this at the moment so hopefully it will happen soon. Same goes for any other bundles...

And on the release date itself I cannot comment. :)

Re: Trine 2 Online Multiplayer - about lag

This is a very good question. Our multiplayer is pretty good but there is a lot of things going on - the characters, enemies, and most importantly all the gameplay and the physics objects. So it's quite a complex system for multiplayer. It will feel smooth for each local player controls-wise, but if...

Re: Renderer initialization failure (Linux)

The more I look at those the more I think that's probably not the final solution to the problem... Some of those should be "needed" (like the cinematic_m*.txt files) but most of the other ones aren't needed as they have been combined into other files such as gui_bigfile.txt and subtitles_b...

Re: Toggle fullscreen on Mac OS X

Sorry to hear. I can't promise a fix for the actual problems as they are tech issues, but there may be a workaround solution to the windowed/resolution problem. Launch the game at the high resolution (1920x1200), and then go to a level. It will be choppy as you say. Then open the ingame console term...

Re: Renderer initialization failure (Linux)

It sounds like it could be a corrupt download but if you've already downloaded it a few times then that's probably not it. It could be that something is preventing the installer from performing correctly, because those errors are not normal (the game is full of "normal" errors but if it ca...

The Trine 2 campaign will hopefully be a bit longer than Trine 1. It's not a whole lot longer though, and it's hard to judge accurately right now. It will probably hover around 6-10 hours for most people. There is a lot of replay value though, especially if you enjoy playing online multiplayer, and ...
