Re: Release date

We are using the console certification time to focus on PC/Mac usability/technical. Are you using "PC" as a synonym for "Windows," or does that include Linux as well? Indeed that means Windows/Mac. Linux will be separate, we'll focus on that once the game has been successfully l...

Re: Refresh rate override not working for me

Ah. 66 is caused by the game's framerate maximum limiter which is by default set at 66.

So hopefully this will get solved by simply doing this in the console:

/show_fps 1
/render_max_fps 0

Let me know...

Re: Trine Main Theme Sheet Music

If DarkJee doesn't reply (it's been a year, wow), then you might be able to ask Ari for the sheets, although I'm not sure if he has them. He was meant to create them at some point I believe.

Hopefully that works, and if not, there's some similar error reports in the FAQ, where it's suggested that copying /lib64/libasound.so.2 to your trine/lib64/install might help.

Re: Error running game with sound enabled

The installer file for the game should be named "TrineUpdate4.bin" when you downloaded it from the Humble download page. So please check that was the name, and/or redownload the game and try again.

Not quite sure, but looks like the same or similar issue is in the FAQ : If you experience this problem (possibly on at least Fedora 14 x86_64): [x]$ ./trine-launcher ALSA lib pcm.c:2104snd_pcm_open_conf) Cannot open shared library /usr/lib/alsa-lib/libasound_module_pcm_pulse.so ALSA lib pcm.c:2104s...

Re: no game is starting

I believe you just missed an addition to the FAQ I wrote on Saturday: In Oneiric Ocelot, the ia32-libs have been replaced by the multiarch repositories. This makes the installer fail with the following output: ./shadowgroundsUpdate1.run: error while loading shared libraries: libglade-2.0.so.0: wrong...

Re: OnLive Support

We're aware of this now (got the first report a few weeks ago), and it's not something we did on purpose. I think it's just growing pains for the MicroConsole. We'll look into this as we do the OnLive implementation of Trine 2 so we can get it fixed for both games.

Re: Got signal 11 at 0x1 from 0x6c0b97

Just received an email about this issue and it seems that the fix to this problem is simple:

Delete the "libasound.so.2" file in the libd32 folder.

(Or perhaps it's better to rename it just in case it'd be needed later.)

I hope this helps...

Re: Showdowgrounds Survivor Won't Launch

Sounds like either the graphics drivers or PhysX is not properly installed... PhysX usually gives a warning about that though, so I don't know if the graphics drivers could be at fault here after all... Have you checked if any new drivers exist for the card? You could also check any other software, ...

Re: Steam launch, dvorak layout. Unplayable.

Well just yesterday this topic came up during Trine 2, and for that it should be solved. For Trine 1 it is most likely a minor technical issue, needs an extra bit of code because those characters are used for other functions in the scripts I believe, so there just needs to be a different way of usin...

Re: Constant game freezing

Well, there probably isn't any magic settings that will help... You could however try to run in e.g. Windowed mode, or perhaps disabling sounds. And in general trying the lowest graphics options might be worth a shot too. You could also disable physics I believe (at least for the SG games), they're ...

Re: Showdowgrounds Survivor Won't Launch

Hmm. The game's log files probably won't help (log.txt / error_log.txt I think), but one thing you can still try is to launch Trine. Trine also uses PhysX so it should not launch either, most likely... What does it say if you try to launch survivor.exe directly? It should give a more elaborate error...

Ok, I think what's happened here is that nobody has actually tested this feature on the Mac. So whatever we use to achieve this on Windows isn't working on the Mac. I'll try to double-check this myself at some point but right now I'm ready to say that the feature is broken in the Mac version. (Altho...

I can't seem to be able to spot the graphics card, but if Trine runs fine then it should run the Shadowgrounds games fine hardware-wise... Does Shadowgrounds Survivor work ok? This looks like some kind of a problem with the libraries. Check the Linux FAQ , it might give you some clues (I'm a newbie ...

Yeah it's alright. :) Trine 2 will definitely have local ("couch") co-op as well, which is in my opinion the best way to enjoy the game as you seem to agree 8) , and in fact it will be easier to use too. And will also have a bit more replayability in the form of a feature that we haven't a...

Most likely yes. But you never know, really. :) It is a helpful tip on the Windows (Steam) side, but you're right that most likely the Linux installer would have warned about that. I would still try it just in case unless you have a bandwidth cap or something. The problem is also that it's the only ...

Re: Escape Mouse Pointer in Window Mode

This is the way it is I think... One thing you can try is to enable the titlebar, the option is found in config\options.txt as window_titlebar = 0 (change that to 1). It probably doesn't help but is worth a shot... You can Alt-Tab out of the game at any time though, so that's probably the best optio...
