Re: Europe release date?

It was a mistake - but indeed the game was available for a period of time today. I was able to download the Trial myself but couldn't buy, guess I was a little late. I don't know how it will go in your case - I would assume that since you already bought it, you will be able to download the full game...

maly85, do you also have the Radeon X1600? If not please post your Mac specs (Mac model).

At the moment it looks like Trine 2 will not run on the Radeon X1600 graphics card. We've added a note about the system requirements to the store now.

puccini, I'll email you.

Re: graphic / rendering bug on OSX

Sorry about this. Is this on the Mac App Store, or Steam?

We have issued an update on Steam that might actually fix this (lighting issues). It will become available on the Mac App Store soonish (it has to go through Apple's review process first, that takes a few days).

They are in the game's folder, which is located in ~/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/trine 2/ The easiest way to access this might be to click the View menu in Finder, and then hold down the Option key (near Cmd), and it will show you the Library in the dropdown menu. Click that, ...

Re: Sound question

This is an excellent question... We don't have any audio options in the game directly, it's all handled by our audio middleware Wwise. I would imagine that Wwise will use whatever your computer is set to use, so you may want to try to set it to stereo and see what happens. And yes Trine 2 only uses ...

Re: Shadowgrounds doesn't run on openSUSE 12.1

I have very little to add to this, however if you haven't seen the Linux FAQ , it might be able to give some further ideas. Some of the same issues are listed there, although the final problem might be something else. Please post your system specs just in case too, btw, even if it's not really the p...

Re: Trine 2 crossplatform

It's currently not possible to buy the game (Trine 1 nor Trine 2) in a way that would give keys to both the Steam version and the OnLive version. For the first game that was only possible with the Humble Bundles. We'll be looking into more purchasing options as we go along though, so this is somethi...

Re: Crash on the Restore Window

Sorry to hear. I'm not sure on the original problem, but let's see if that gets solved with this... Basically, the restore windows issue is something that has started happening since Lion. It could be related to our options.txt which might get corrupted in some cases. This might delete savegames too...

Edit: I'm curious: Why do you not save the Log files in %appdata%\Trine2 where Windows 7 default UAC behaviour can write. By default, Windows 7 UAC prevents users from Writing to %programfiles%. Not sure. Will probably be moved to AppData. Thanks for the video too, heh. :) The upcoming update shoul...

Re: Trine 2 Beta technical issues thread

Nice notes. :) We haven't spent any time on SLI yet, so it not working by default is not a surprise. We will try to focus on this in late November. Not sure why the framerate would be affected by the frequency but we'll look into it. The sound issue is interesting - does this only happen with SLI en...

Re: Trine 2 Beta on Steam cannot start?

Ok. I'm out of ideas unfortunately. I'm not sure if you can somehow trick Steam to install games to other directories without actually deleting/moving the whole installation... That's something you could try perhaps (I know you can set Steam to use some other folder for game data, I have my Steam on...

Many of these are easier to achieve in the later levels, but yeah they have been designed so that it doesn't require a specific place in the game to do...

Re: Purple Potions, numbers on inventory/level up screen

The numbers are the available skill points. If you use them on an upgrade, then the number for that character should decrease.

The purple potions are special to the "DLC" level. If you collect them all and complete the level, you will see a small thank you (sort of a teaser to Trine 2).

Well, "unfortunately" I believe we have that log info already... It points to the sound library but there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with it. I'm not 100% sure how the Mac versions work with the log files, but you can increase the log level by opening the console with Fn+F6, and wri...

I don't really know what we're going to use but it will improve performance, so I'm guessing it's either FXAA or some variant. I'll find t...

Sounds like there might be something wrong with the system indeed... I would suggest doing backups right now, and then worry about it more... Anyhow, did you try these exact steps: 1. Exit Steam (and turn off auto-login if you use it) 2. Browse to the Trine 2 Beta folder 3. Try to run trine2_32bit.e...

Ok good. PhysX should not be a problem in Trine 2 as we include all the necessary files with the game, so it was probably .NET in this case (not quite sure why exactly).
