Re: Trine PC Priced at $40?

While I'm defending the price I must remind the high pricepoint has been a decision of our publisher. I realize the game is good, but it also saddens me that the way how people expresses it. Sometimes I just think that what if we had just done a crappy game with theoretically good features, then may...

Re: Frozenbyte has messed up again?

I'll quote myself from another discussion a few topics below: We understand this and would also love to have online co-op, but that's something technology-wise what would cost and delay the game way too much if aimed for release date. For us, it's been a tough decision and we have understood we will...

Re: Comments and questions about Trine

First of all, thank you very much for your comments! 1) Playing the game with two people, we were able to swap our character whenever we chose by using the one left over. Will it be possible to change your character when playing with 3 people or does everyone just play with the one they are assigned...

Re: Some bugs

First bug: In the room in the second level where the gates close and several skeletons appear, if you run to the left as fast as possible, you can get the gates to go back up without killing the skeletons. Sometimes you can go through them, sometimes it acts as though they are still closed, and kil...

Re: Multiplayer?

I would very much hope that you include an online multiplayer soon after release. I would love the game, and will buy it for the singleplayer; but the multiplayer is what got me worked up over this title. If my friend and I have to travel an hour to play in the same game I will likely beat the game...

Re: Resolutions

Will there be options for more resolutions in the full version of Trine when it is released? My monitor's native resolution is 1360x768 but to run Trine I need to either put it at 1024x768 or 1280x1024 and have my drivers stretch/scale it to my screen. It would be nice to see support for 1360x768 i...

Re: Remote Play on the PS3 version?

Hi to the Frozenbyte team and to the commuity! I just pre-ordered Trine on Steam after finishing the demo 2 times in a row :) My PC is a 10.2'' Asus N10J notebook with Windows 7 and the game is running really smoothly at the higher quality in 800*600. Good Jobs! It could be cool if you had the 1024...

Re: Question about the thief controls

For pads, there is aiming assistant for the grappling hook. However, you can control the direction the hook looks for a target with your movement controls (ie. up, left, right are something you can force the hook to look for next surface).

Re: Trine PC Priced at $40?

I'm sorry for being a bit rude earlier. As many mentioned in the discussion, I just don't find it fair to compare us to games which have started at similar or higher pricepoints. It's very obvious Trine will eventually cost less, so I guess I just wanted to say that if the price hurts more than wait...

Re: Trine now in Steam pre-order

Good to hear ! :D Yeh so do i, i just checked some reviews.. seems to be OK/Average. But to be honest, alot of the time i find reviewers concentrate farrrrrrrrrr to much on other elements, when in the end all that really counts is how fun the game is. I mean who cares if a game looks rubbish, bad s...

Re: How do i add a player?

Actually, I think I've given wrong information, the PC demo should support 3 player co-op

You add the additional players from the options -> controller config.

Please note: only 2nd level support co-op, as the Astral Academy is a bit special "tutorial" level :D

Re: Trine PC Priced at $40?

Let's have some price comparisons then, shall we? 30% more expensive than the Orange Box (HL2+EP1+EP2+TF2+Portal), 100% more expensive than Team Fortress 2. 100% more than Zeno Clash (best selling indie game on Steam), 100% more expensive than World of Goo (compared to 2DBoy's price, not that of St...

We have a number of plans including online co-op, but it's very early to say whether or not we can actually make it happen (it's about sales and a gazillion of other stuff).

Re: Questions about Trine on the PC

Well, I just tried the Steam demo and I thought it was quite nice until i got to the wizard part. I own the Logitech Rumblepad 2 and was unable to move the target cursor with the right stick or any other button/stick on the pad. It just doesn't work. Also i was unable to costumize this function. An...

Re: Trine PC Priced at $40?

Hi everyone! I'm sure the price will be something what will generate a lot of discussion. While guidelines are set by our publisher, in my opinion price around $/€ 30 is very reasonable for a game which production values are very close to a retail title. While we are labeled indie as developers, Tri...

Re: Questions about Trine on the PC

I'm glad to see a publisher talk to their fans--it's really refreshing. I also have a few questions, which you may or may not be able to answer, about the PC release. 1) Are you aware (or would you be willing to find out and release) what copy protection/DRM the retail version will be using? 2) You...

I will ask programmers to check more frequently here also.

So far problems have been caused if you have AA on, or PhysX driver version. Try disabling AA after you have checked all drivers are newest :D

Re: How to open Trine's .fbz data files?

While our encryption is easy to break for sure, there will be separate soundtrack available for purchase at Ari's website. If that's an option for you I'd suggest to check it out, hopefully available very soon at reasonable price. The separate soundtrack has all the songs in very best quality. :)
