Re: Trine stopped working

You could try to uninstall and reinstall the game. Go in the trine\profiles\default\save folder and backup the file what is there. That should be the save data file. (It also could be under other folder named differently from default folder.) After you have backuped that try to uninstall and reinsta...

Re: TRINE weirdness (currently says PHYSX > CPU on screen)

Or this problem could be caused by some sort of unsync between some of the game elements and your computer. There's this one mod on steam called Empires. It also used to crash when you just alt tabbed out of it at any time and stayed alt tabbed for a long time. But this problem got fixed at some poi...

Hehheh. You're not a freak if even I'm not a freak. ;)

(I have played Hostile Waters 69 times through, or a bit more, I lost track of playthroughs on the 64th time. Maybe I should make it to 70th time one day and make a video "Let's play Hostile Waters." :D )

Re: Trine troubleshooting, check these!

Hmm... I can't think anything other than you could try to updated your sound card drivers but that's my last guess. I can't figure out anything else.

And also, you could make a new thread for this problem because that way this troubleshooting thread would stay a bit cleaner. =)

Hmm... I'm sorry but I can't think of any other reasons anymore for that. You just have to wait till Lauri or Joel drops by and starts to investigate this.

Sounds like a timing issue.

Are you running the latest version of Trine?

Re: Blu-ish Screen Problems

Seems like your graphic card is either overheating or some features of the game are really messing it up.

Does all the other games run on it just fine?

I would suggest to dust up your computer and do a good clean to it and especially to the graphic card.

Re: Game will not launch. Steam + 4870x2 and no clue.

Have you installed your graphic card drivers correctly?

I mean that did you uninstall your old ones, reboot your computer and then install the new ones? If you just install the new drivers on top of old ones, this causes issues.

Re: Game will not launch. Steam + 4870x2 and no clue.

When exactly does the game crash? Right after you have clicked the play button?

Have you tried to lower your graphich settings and disabling sound, bloom and EAX?

Re: Thanks for buying Trine!

At the moment Trine's at 5th position at top sellers during Steam's holiday sales. ;) Earlier today it was at 3rd position. Not bad at all. :D Also ATM it's on the number ONE position at "Games under 10€" sales. That's pretty impressive. :D It even beats GTA IV, Garry's mod and Company of ...

Re: Thanks for buying Trine!

Thanks to you for providing us with unique and original games. Well... At least original. Platformer genre isn't that unique anymore.

If you look at the EA their games are just bad because they are so common and about common things. Your game ideas are fresh and original. =)

Re: Screen Lightens During Gameplay

Hmm... Lighter you say? Sounds like bloom overflow to me or something related to bloom. If there was an option to turn off the bloom, try that. Usually bloom effect works like that, brightening everything up and could result in that kind of over brightness. But it could be some part of your computer...

Re: Steam saving problems

In what way it doesn't save it? When you die you won't get moved back to the last checkpoint but a checkpoint before the last one?

Or when you finish a level the game won't save you to start from the last checkpoint when you start the level again?

Yep. I was thinking that too. Download the latest PhysX and uninstall the current one and then download the version you just downloaded.

This should be the latest: http://www.nvidia.com/object/physx_9.09.1112.html

Re: Trine PC Crashes Before Ever getting to play a level

What's your sound card? And have you tried disabling sound? Also that "Adapter RAM 512.00 MB" sounds weird. What's your REAL RAM amount? I'm expecting it to be closer to 1 GB or 2 GB.

Re: Trine won't start with patch 1.05?

By any chance, did you install new graphic card drivers between when you launched the unpatched Trine and when you launched patched Trine? I had this exact same problem with Unreal Tournament 3. The game ran just fine, then I updated my graphic card drivers and BAM it just showed the splash screen, ...

Isn't that's the way how Trine works already? Or was it so that it plays with two mice and one keyboard... Anyway, if your question was meant to say that is it possible to have two mice and one keyboard, I doubt it is because modern keyboards get choked very easily when there are too many buttons pr...

Re: problem playing trine too slow

Hmm... I highly doubt that but you could always try a normal monitor just for this game but I really doubt that a monitor could cause the lag. I'm quessing the problem is somewhere in software area if your brother's computer really is very similar to yours. The problem could be in drivers or other p...

Re: Great game - Thoughts on online co-op.

There has been a lot of talk about online coop and the fact about is that implementing online coop would require to remake the whole game engine Trine is running on. Totally from scratch and right from the beginning. So it is very unlikely this will happen unless Frozenbyte's team spends 3 years mak...

Re: problem playing trine too slow

Hmm... Then I guess your computer just is too underpowered. =P You could also try one last thing and turn the EAX sound off and if that didn't do anything then you could turn the sounds off totally.
