Re: problem playing trine too slow

I'm not sure what are the Trine's shader requirements but I'm guessing the game requires graphic cards which can support quite latest shaders. Anyway, to me it seems that your desktop should be able to run Trine with that x1250 graphic card if rest of the specs are meeting the Trine's minimums. Try ...

No one knows so they can't tell you. :(

Re: problem playing trine too slow

Those are laptops, right? I'm guessing that either you are running too old drivers for those graphic cards, you don't have enough RAM for the game to run smoothly, your processors are too slow or your graphic cards don't support some features which the game requires from them. I'm guessing the issue...

Re: Can't see anything but the character

That kind of errors are usually caused by graphic card's ram messing up the textures loaded in it. But it of course could be that the textures were somehow corrupt.

Re: Trine PSN US release October 22nd - explanation thread

^^ I pre-ordered this game as soon as I could and I haven't regretted that decission. Also isn't there this old saying: "Live and learn" which in Finnish means Mene ja tiedä. Or something like that, meaning that you learn more as you live older. :) Anyway, now you have this great list of t...

Re: Trine won't start

It depends... Is your computer a desktop or laptop? Because if it's laptop replacing a graphic card depends quite much on a luck and money. They are quite expensive and you really have to know what you are doing when installing one. I think if you buy a graphic card from a local computer shop they k...

Re: Can't see anything but the character

Ah, I think that explains it because I have heard from a lot of people that PC emulators on MACs usually leave out some shaders or renders because they are emulators, not the real deal. So I think that's the problem with you too because you emulate windows, not run it as main OS. You could try wine ...

Re: Trine won't start

Click start, run and then type in the box dxdiag. You'll get a directX's diagnose window. From that window take monitor tab or something like that. There should be a line saying Name: x-x-x-x where Xs are your graphic card's name. Most likely. I'm just wondering that maybe your graphic card doesn't ...

Re: Trine won't start

What about that VMF plugin? Also can you access options before the game even launches? You could try to disable first EAX support, then Bloom and finally sound totally. If none of those works, then reduce graphic settings to minimum. Also knowing your windows and computer specs would help it a bit b...

Re: Trine Bad Quality..

Yeah. You need a new computer to play Trine, or at the very least a new graphic card.

As last attempt you could try to lower all the graphic settings to minimum and then see if it fixes anything. If it does, then bring the settings up step by step so you can see where it all starts to mess up.

Re: Will the PAL version work on American PS3?

The PAL may not be a problem but buying the game from EU PSN and living in US is a big problem.

One person spent like the whole day trying to find a way to buy Trine from EU PSN and get it on US but without any success. So you have to just wait.

Re: Trine Bad Quality..

Hmm... Only 256MBs of RAM? Does Vista even run on that? You really need at least 1GB to keep your computer well running. At least I would upgrade the RAM amount immediatelly. Then I would take a look to the graphic card manufactor's site and see how late pixel shaders and other things it supports. I...

Re: Trine Retail Disc Problem?

If the autorun doesn't for some reason run, then you could try to launch it manually by opening your "My computer" Then double clicking on your dvd drive and then searching for some sort of exe file which is named like autorun.exe or setup.exe or something like that. Or if your computer do...

Re: Trine Bad Quality..

Yep. It is graphic card related for sure. And when you install your drives, uninstall the old ones first, then install the latests ones. This way you should have no room for error and the drivers should for sure get installed correctly and all files applied as they should. But I think it is more har...

... It should automatically select the correct folder.

At least on me it just ask: "Do you want to install DirectX?" I hit yes and it installs it and then tells me to restart my computer so made changes will apply.
