Re: Please help me with Trine

Okay! I screenshotted the puzzley parts that you'll run into with a good and effective way of passing all of them. http://img708.imageshack.us/img708/9142/2011040700001.jpg These are pretty easy to jump across, but if you need a little extra time, you can spawn a bridge over them as a Wizard, and it...

Re: Development

The game was essentially redesigned over the weekend and greenlit for production the next Monday. The team needed work to do.

So you ARE wizards!

It's really cool to see how close you guys were to having a completely different game though. Great article, thanks for sharing :D

Re: Character balance and more

Well, the devs have said that the puzzles are much more difficult, so it's very possible that the solutions will be limited down to 1 or 2 of the heroes. However, I feel that such a thing like this could be annoying, especially if I'm a ways past the last checkpoint and have to backtrack.

Development

Purely out of curiosity, and if you're able to share it with me, how long was Trine in development, and how long after the original concept did it take to actually start making the game?

Re: Suggestions

I'm definitely with Gzeg on this one. Trine's a very immersive game, and I'd much prefer if it just went in a nice straight line, with no interruptions in between levels. I'm sure it doesn't take that long for the level to load and quit from there, as even when I was playing on my GeForce 6600, the ...

Re: Back, and with a few questions

-What are you talking about? Steam has no problems at all on the weekend. -It's really not that big a deal. You trade the ability to sell your games for a convenient, often cheap and invulnerable copy of a game. I don't think I have to tell you how many times I've lost, for example, Diablo 2 discs ...

Re: Back, and with a few questions

Yes, I understand that the problem lies with the developer and proper testing. My gripe with Steam follows: - You must always be connected to play. Whatever happened to the concept of gaming on the go?! I can play Trine on my gaming laptop. I can play while on a plane. Can't do that with Steam game...

Re: Back, and with a few questions

Please please please tell me that a retail box is still in plans. Is Steam required to play multiplayer? I hate Steam (and its concept)! I recently went against my philosophy and got a Steam account to play Magicka. Great game concept, poor quality control and execution. You get a game in a playabl...

Sorry, but just to clarify:

Did you say that the servers will be run via steamworks, or were you only referring to the game being on steam?

Back, and with a few questions

Hey guys! Haven't been here in a while, mostly due to the slow flow of information you've been releasing, but I just had a few questions, and was hoping you could answer any of them. - What do you estimate the length of the single player game will be, in comparison (or not) to Trine 1? - Will we be ...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't a bunch of these not proper haikus? This for example, "Upon blissful rhythms" Up-on bliss-ful rhyth-ms = 6 syllables, is it not? go to that website and check it by yourself http://juiciobrennan.com/hyphenator/ basically maybe you could think its more th...
