Something went boom inside your graphics driver. Is this reproducible? If not, there's nothing we can do about it.

Re: Trine wont Launch under ubuntu 10.10

Intel GPUs do not work because the Linux driver is not up to it. The driver developers are working on it. Hopefully something comes out of it.

Intel Core2Duo T7300 (2x2,0 GHz) RAM 2GB GFX: Nvidia 8600 M GS (512 MB, Driver 270.41.03, ) I'll check the game in Windows but I think my specs should be enough. Could it be that pulseaudio sucks so hard or is there any other possibility? This should be enough to play the game. Do you have antialia...

Is Trine so demanding or should it run smoothly?

This is a very old entry-level card and Trine is pretty heavy on the graphics. So no, it shouldn't run smoothly.

Re: Trine - Fatal error: Renderer initialization failure

However, I cannot set options unless I run the launcher. Is there a better way to work around the problem - editing config/options.txt doesn't seem to change anything. On Linux the config is located in ~/.frozenbyte/trine/config/options.txt If the launcher doesn't work it probably means you're miss...

Re: Xbox360 Controller Ubuntu

- throttle triggers aren't detected - d-pad / hat isn't detected Xbox pad under Linux is very screwy. The triggers appear to be an axis (huh?) and there is no support to mapping that to keys. - dead zone is freaking small (non existant) [more of a os problem, but in game config would be nice] There...

Re: Trine on Linux (32bit) not saving games?

Interesting; I bet it's just got something to do with case sensitivity... On Linux, "Save" is different from "save," but on Windows those would be the same directory. Of course, Trine didn't create the uppercase version until I hand-created the default dir, so there's a bug in t...

No because we need a very specific version of libavcodec. This is more likely to break things. Use system-provided libraries on your own risk.

Re: People interested in working on the game?

I'm the Linux porting guy. I can at least answer questions. For the Intel driver, maybe if mesa guys get their drivers in order. Even so it's going to be a bitch because only some Intel GPUs support the necessary features and it's hard to tell them apart. Nouveau, not likely. I'm not sure they even ...

Your driver is too old and does not support ARB_framebuffer_object. Upgrade your drivers like the message says.

What GPU do you have? Are the drivers correctly installed? Does glxgears work? What does glxinfo show?

Unfortunately Intel GPUs are not supported. This is not our fault, the hardware might
or might not be capable but the current Linux drivers aren't.

You need 32-bit versions of GTK libraries. On Debian these are in the package ia32-libs-gtk. No idea about arch.

That is just a warning and not the actual error. The real error is just below that. Most likely cause for early crashes is broken graphics drivers. What GPU do you have? Are the drivers correctly installed? Does glxgears work? What does glxinfo show? Intel GPUs are not currently supported because th...

Re: Trine on Linux (32bit) not saving games?

When you first start the game you should use the launcher. This creates all the necessary directories. Do not install as root, that will create the directories with incorrect permissions and cause very strange bugs like this one.
