Re: Graphic artifacts cover screen
The installer should have died if the package was corrupt. You either have a driver or hardware problem. Do other 3D games work correctly? Shadowgrounds?

Re: People interested in working on the game?
Hi, I'm developing Shadowgrounds from time to time. So, I'm interested in updates of Storm3D and other game libraries. Maybe we could either merge all games together to single repository (as long as there is no active development), either extract those libraries into standalone repository and use i...

I can't see anything wrong here. Are you using 32- or 64-bit OS? If 64-bit, which binary are you using? Have you changed any of the libraries shipped with the game? Have you tried with system-provided libraries?

I don't know which version I have, the latest entry in Trine_update.txt is patch 1.08. Check the binaries themselves. For update 4 you should see: 5608224 May 30 14:51 trine-bin32 6198472 May 30 14:51 trine-bin64 The sizes are what matters. The installer does not preserve timestamps. The binaries w...

This sounds exactly like what we saw on the Linux version with certain broken drivers. Do you have the latest drivers installed?
If you REALLY want to know I can describe the bug, its cause and how it relates to this situation but it's rather long and technical.

Re: Ubuntu 11.04 Trine over slow
Are you using Unity desktop? Try classic instead.
Also full screen is usually faster than windowed since (theoretically) desktop compositing effects can be switched off.

Re: Shadowgrounds & SGS Linux/Mac source
By the way, why Shadowgrounds "will not run on Radeon 500 series"? What is the main problem with Radeon? I suppose it isn't only shaders problem, is it? We don't have such hardware anymore and AMD has dropped support for them from fglrx. So we had no way to test it and erred on the side o...

What behaviour is expected from 64-bit version? It launches at least and I'm able to start mission. Last time I checked it went something like this: In menus colors are messed up and some images are missing/flashing. In the game some textures are missing and colors are messed up. When trying to sho...

64-bit. Can you briefly describe known problem places? Uh, the whole frakking thing? Seriously, you're in for a world of pain. All file loading code assumes it's on 32-bit little endian and needs to be rewritten. This code is all over the place but offhand I can think of at least the following: ui/...

32- or 64-bit build? 64-bit does not work and will require enormous amounts of work to make it so.

I just downloaded PhysX 3.0 and it appears to have changed quite a bit. I'll take a look at getting this to compile with 3.0 but don't hold your breath. Both the directory structure and header names have changed and I haven't even looked at the interfaces yet... This doesn't look good. Just get the...

Re: errors compiling code on Linux
So I got register and nVidia has PhysX 3.0.1 SDK for linux, so I downloaded that. Is it just that they changed everything with 3? Do I have to file a support request and obtain the older 2.8.3 SDK? It would be easier to get PhysX 2.8. 2.8.3 is the one we used, 2.8.4 should also work. I just downloa...

Re: trine / Lenovo G470 / Linux
You need to jump through some hoops to get Intel GPU to work under Linux. Check out this thread:
viewtopic.php?f=22&t=3312
If you can't do this then you should wait until the new drivers enter mainstream distributions. This should happen during the fall.

Is there a place where we collect all that decisions together? Not right now. I suppose there should be some kind of README or TODO file where these things are collected. Feel free to collect them :) Like a TDD and a GDD? Who'll make the main decisions anyway? Whoever writes the code. As long as yo...
