Did you Pre-Order?

Postby HaakonXCI » Tue Jun 30, 2009 3:29 am

Just wondering who Pre-Ordered this great game. I sure did.

Also Frozenbyte, please bring out a level editor sometime soon after release so we can make our own awesome adventures! 8)

They said that this will maybe not happen because the tools are too complex and they dont have documentation for it...

But personnally, I think I would prefer a level editor more than an online co-op mode!

a level editor would indeed be cool, but i'd take the online co-op first easily

and yes, i did put a pre-order in through steam

Preordered it yesterday on Steam and I have no doubt it'll be worth every penny :).

I loved the demo, and preordered as fast as I could on STEAM.

I'm very happy because the game will have STEAM achievements, but a bit dissapointed for the European price (damn it 1€=1$ conversion!!)

lol yeah lets start another crying flame war, first it was the lack of multiplayer, then it was the price differential, now it'll be lack of level editor (and i can tell by the quality of the levels there is no way i'd be able to make a level. this isn't little big planet (although i secretly wish it was))! lol.

i preordered yes.

I would actually prefer to buy it on Impulse, so I'm waiting for them to put it as available :/ (if it doesn't come by the 3rd, though, i'll get it on Steam :P)

Hopefully you added solid arguments, so I'm just gonna ignore your opinion.

About me, I prefer to be able to open a game without starting each time Steam. Impulse has the advantage to work as a downloader and updater, which doesn't force me to keep it open whenever I want to play my game. And super fast servers, btw, so I can get playing faster my new games :P

Anyway, I hope it will come soon in the Impulse game list, so I can check "yes" :P
(And if not, on the 3rd I'll get it on Steam before the release, and check at same time the differences between Shadowgrounds and Survivor (since i own already the second :P))

We're trying to get Trine to Impulse as fast as possible. It'll be tight to hit the 3rd of July mark though...

Well, Steam can be controversial when it comes to VAC and VALVe's policies concerning that topic. But other than that, it's a good digital distribution platform, and if it wasn't for Steam's ads, I wouldn't be here. Impulse is of course fine as well. Personally, I have no preference either way, tbh.

Fingers crossed for July 3rd. Good luck, FB :)

I played the demo for about 10 minutes, then quit and immediately bought the game on Steam. For me the price is okay, of course it would be nice, if it was lower, but I am willing to pay for a game of this quality.

Yeah for me too I wouldnt be here if it werent for Steam. And Steam shouldnt have VAC enabled for this game (or at least I hope not) so that's why I pre=ordered it on Steam. Plus it has achievements so yeah... I'm just waiting for the level editor though, thats my source for replaying the game with some fun.

No I didn't. Mostly because, unlike uncle penny bags here 30 bucks isn't "cheap as chips" to me.

The demo was cool, I don't know how you know how Trine is such a high quality game without playing it. Regardless it is good to see more 2D platformers out there.

They got my $30. I'll buy a Linux copy if it comes out as well down the road (so will my brother). Can't wait to play this! 8)

I woke up to a
"Available: 2 July 2009
This game will unlock in approximately 8 hours"
message on Steam this morning.

Quite surprising, I was still expecting the game to come out the 10th!
I couldn't resist any longer and pre-ordered it.

I was still considering getting the boxed version up until this morning, but
Achievements, free Shadowgrounds, playing full version of Trine today instead of maybe next week with some luck and more money going directly towards well-deserving Frozenbyte.

It just had to be done.
And now.. we just wait a few hours more.. :D
