no audio- Debian Wheezy

Postby pbcartwright » Mon Jan 13, 2014 11:59 pm

I am running Debian wheezy stable, amd_64. I have an SB souind card, and I am using pulse-audio. It doesn't show the game as active, and I am not getting any sound. LSPCI shows this:
03:00.0 PCI bridge: Creative Labs [SB X-Fi Xtreme Audio] CA0110-IBG PCI to PCIe Bridge
04:00.0 Audio device: Creative Labs [SB X-Fi Xtreme Audio] CA0110-IBG

uname -a
Linux pauls-server 3.2.0-4-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 3.2.51-1 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Hello pbcartwright!

I'm not entirely familiar how original Trine handles its audio, but one thing you could try is to launch the game with padsp command in front. This has sometimes helped with pulse-audio related issues.

Let us know if it helps, and if it does not we'll investigate further.
