Great game - Thoughts on online co-op.

Postby Dystopia » Mon Nov 09, 2009 12:52 am

Yesterday, me and some friends were tried out the Trine demo on the PS3.

We all loved it, It is a truly great game, but we were rather disappointed that there is no online co-op feature. I understand that before the release date the decision was to sacrifice the online co-op in hopes to make the game even better, but now since Trine has already been released has there been any talks about online co-op?

There has been a lot of talk about online coop and the fact about is that implementing online coop would require to remake the whole game engine Trine is running on. Totally from scratch and right from the beginning.

So it is very unlikely this will happen unless Frozenbyte's team spends 3 years making a new engine for their new game and then porting Trine on that engine and turning that port into a patch or something. :P

So short answer is: yes there have been talk about it and no it isn't likely that Trine will see an online coop even it is the best game for such thing.
Not all of you have äää's and ööö's :P
