Trine Mac released! (release promotion until Nov 4th)

Trine has now been released for Mac! There's also a special promotion valid until Nov 4th at Steam: http://store.steampowered.com/app/35700/

Thanks... i'll wait.

I just deleted Steam and will not be trying it again until it behaves like a proper Mac app.

I too cannot launch the game, which is incredibly annoying since I didn't bother to try the demo before buying the game.

I've just had Trine updated through Steam, and it still won't launch.
All it does now is open the "Preparing to Launch Trine" window, which flashes on and off, and that's it.

I just noticed Trine got updated to support the Mac while browsing on Steam.

I'm thrilled. Now I can play it more often, I don't like using PCs so any game not supporting Mac/PC on Steam is usually played infrequently. So thank you guys for doing this. :D

This will have me buy Trine 2 multiple times, like I did with Trine to help support you guys and your awesomeness. PS3 and PC. I'll probably even buy it on 360 when/if it goes on sale.

Again, thanks for being you. I look forward to Trine 2 and supporting you guys in the future.

This is most likely because of having the case sensitive file system. We will eventually fix the problem with an update, but for now, here's what I just recently wrote for the same problem:

You will need to use the Terminal to fix the problem. This won't cause any side effects or anything
like that, it's just a few files we change in the Trine application.

First, open the Terminal (it's in Applications and then Utilities, and then Terminal).

Once you see the Terminal screen, write the following:

cd Applications
cd Trine.app
cd Contents
cd Framework
sudo mv SDL.Framework SDL.framework
sudo mv Cg.Framework Cg.framework

The sudo commands may ask for the admin/username password.

I'm not 100% sure if Trine is located in Applications/Trine.app but I
think it should be - if the Terminal gives you an error, you could use
the Finder and search for "Trine" and see where the folder is.
