Firstly I recommend trying to verify the game cache for the game. If you are wondering how to do this, just follow the instructions below.

Navigate to your Steam Library → right click on Trine → click on Properties → choose the local files tab → click the button to verify integrity of game cache
Also simply tabbing out of the window might help. You could also take a look at our FAQ guide, if there would be something helpful.

If above doesn't help, could you tell what operating system you're using? Also your other system specs might be helpful.

Let me know how it goes! :)

The Exception code you received usually means that some other program is interfering with the game. You could try disabling any unnecessary programs and especially overlays (Xfire, Overwolf etc) before trying to launch Trine and see if that makes a difference.

If the game still does not work properly, you could try the following method:

  1. Right click Trine in your Steam Library
  2. Select Properties
  3. Click "Set Launch Options"
  4. Copy the following line inside the text box (remember to write it exactly as it is, including the minus sign as well): -disableMinidump
If above doesn't help, also reinstalling the game is worth a try.

Let me know how it goes!
