Ok, time to vote the best haikus!

Each forum user can vote up to three haikus. Feel free to vote your own, as it's likely someone at least will! :). Any foul play (especially registering multiple accounts) is monitored and strictly forbidden.

Frozenbyte staff will also pick "developer's choice" award, so there can be two winners (unless general vote and our opinion is same, in which case we will add a secret bonus prize!)

Voting ends November 8th (Monday).

One lucky voter will also win a small prize!

Haikus in more readable form:

Feeling like Alice,
I gaze at the wonderland,
My heart racing fast.

The fear grips me tight,
Until I glance to my side.
With my friends, I fight.

Sweet smells of flowers,
A beautiful view at hand.
Many foes to slay.

Three together, fight.
Teamwork. Magic, skill and might.
Reach for the great light

Your companions
Hold your only chance to live
To finish the game.

I played the first Trine.
It was pretty good I think.
This haiku is dumb.

Sun rises again.
Forest of stories awakes
to plant a new seed.

Mushrooms with colours
like a rainbow on the ground.
Sight to remember.

It is three of them
Unlikely bunch of heroes
summoned yet again

Evil is afoot
in a water colored land
who will save us now?

The dead shall rise up
and overtake the kingdom
we must fight as one.

Our heros will rise
with the artifact of souls
and end evils reign!

My love for the Trine
Here we unite our bodies
Together we rise

Upon blissful rhythms
Through mighty lands and sunsets
Trine has stole my heart

Let's save the kingdom
May this artifact helps us
The Trine will triumph

Bound by fate in Trine
Saved land heroically
Wizard, Knight and Thief

Unlikely Trio
Bound together in the Trine
Bravely saved the land

Children are playing
Evil army starts the march
And the peace is gone

Do you see that sword?
Do you hear that evil laugh?
If you do - you're dead

Im playing trine two
Its such a fantastic game
But still in my dreams

Wizard draws a square
Bow and sword stay vigilant
Undead never sleep

The thief draws her bow.
All is according to plan,
But 'Drat. No arrows.

A hero of the sword
A mage in starred robe
A graceful thief.

The destiny of three
Always together be
Will they succeed this time?

A three unlikely hero
Will they defeat the evil?
The Trine stood still.

Magically turned
Thief, Wizard, Warrior
That's all in a game

Pontius the Knight
Zoya and Amadeus
Characters of Trine

Ari Pulkkinen

The sound of Trine 2

knight, thief and wizard
together fight great evil
bound by great power

souls bound together
evil mayhem everywhere
adventure at heart

darkness still abounds
the dead still rise in the night
the three must vanquish

(If you sent us a haiku via Twitter, and it's not listed here, please send us an email, and we'll see if we can still add it here. You can also retweet it but we can't guarantee we'll see it...)

The only problem with this method is that people just get their friends to register for accounts to vote. If its coming from different IPs, cities etc. its hard to monitor.

Sure you are getting new forum members, which is great for you guys, but most of the new registrations will probably never post (already evidence of this).

just sayin.

Anyway, if you decide to do a beta, you should invite those who submitted :P. Are there going to be any other surprises in to be revealed? (if you have a map editor, I want in on the beta!)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't a bunch of these not proper haikus?

This for example,

"Upon blissful rhythms"

Up-on bliss-ful rhyth-ms = 6 syllables, is it not?

go to that website and check it by yourself http://juiciobrennan.com/hyphenator/

basically maybe you could think its more than 5 syllables but when you speak it loud, the last "thms" is not really a full syllables just like that website says and like the way I see it.. anway.

for exemple "fight", or "teamwork". Its not "fi-ght" or "team-wo-rk", we dont really put accent on the "-ght" or "-rk", hard to explain when you write it

Eh? Say "rhythms" outloud and you get "rith-ems" or "ri-thems", which are both two syllables.

As for the "fight" and "teamwork", are you implying the "thms" on rhythms is silent?

no no, i just say the T in rhythms is almost silent.. like, just there to intensify the contrast between rhy and ms, i dont put accent on the T when i say rhythms..

Anyway... I am not an English person and I did my best and I'm proud of it, and I validated everything using the lyric hyphenator and it showed it was legit. If it's important for you, let Frozenbyte decide and I will follow their decision because I don't wanna argue with you or anyone.

I think you're overexaggerating how much I care about it, I was simply pointing it out.

On that site, they say rhythm is one syllable, but on another they say it's two (http://www.howmanysyllables.com/words/rhythm.html)

that is true, some websites say its 2, some say its 1, like FB_Lauri posted or even this one http://songwriting.praisesmith.com/syllablecounter.htm

But anyway... that subject is really questionable, we could debate a lot on it, but I don't feel up to this

Yeah, we discussed the problems, and our best solution (among monitoring!) is that we will award also our own choice award, so there's at least more changes to win! :)

I'm sure there will be quite a few suprises coming all the way until the release... 8)
