Trine 2 demo 100 FPS CAP?

Trine 2 demo 100 FPS CAP?

Just wondering if im doing something wrong here, even if I set no v-sync and 120 cap, game still caps at 100 fps? I have a 120hz monitor, I would love to play it at 120 fps. For some reason games capped at less than 120fps run choppy on my monitor even though 100fps has v-sync on and im capable of getting way over 100 fps (4.5Ghz i5 & 850Mhz core GTX 570).

I was hoping this was only on the demo and the full game goes up to 120fps. If not PLEASE allow 120 FPS in next patch.

I know Trine 1 was capable of 120 fps. fb_joel from Frozenbyte helped me add the "refresh_rate_override = 120" & "render_max_fps = 0" strings to the options config file to get it to run at 120 frames per second and the game played butter smooth. I was just wondering if maybe there is a string I can add to the options.txt to get 120. Thanks

I'd imagine we would have similar option in Trine 2 but I have to leave this to our programmers (or our QA who will eagerly check this first thing Monday morning :D)

Currently 100 fps lock is there on all versions, and it can't be removed.

It should be possible to add an option to remove it, though. I can't promise an exact time frame for this, but it should be an relatively easy thing to patch.

PLEASE do. It actually makes a big difference for me on my monitor. I tested it with Trine 1 set to 100fps instead of 120fps and the difference was obvious. On top of that 3d vision should be alot more smooth with 60 frames to each eye instead of 50.

PLEASE add this option on the next patch. Thanks

Just tested the game with 3d vision (looks great) and Trine 2 does infact give 60fps to each eye even though there is a 100 fps cap. But without 3d vision it does not go above 100.
But please add an option for 120fps because the difference between 100 and 120 is apparent and 120fps does increase fluidity.

In 3D Vision mode we render view for both eyes each game play tick, so we are able to output up to 100 fps for both eyes.

As for option to remove 100fps cap, we are most likely going to to implement it in later patches. Christmas holidays are interfering a bit on our schedules, so I can't yet say when that is going to happen.
