Hi,

the save files are located in you steam folder under the userdata folder. To be more spesific:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata

Steam uses some cryptic numbering and the first series of numbers is your steam id (i think). Under that folder is the Trine 2 app-id which is 35720. Backup that folder and you are ready :)

And if they're not, then you should uncheck the option to store saves on the remote Steam Server. I don't know if it applies to Trine 2, but if not - then the advice could be useful for you in the future, in other games.

Steam Cloud should be off.

Right click on the game in the Steam Games Library List--> Properties -> Updates - and here - uncheck "enable Steam Cloud synchronization for this game" or something similar.
If the saves won't show. Restart steam, launch the game. It has to work.

After this, the cloud icon should change to "broken cloud"/"severed cloud"/"cut off cloud". I don't know what word is proper here, sorry. English is not my native language, but you get the point ;)

Maybe it's a hidden folder/files and you don't have showing hidden files switched on.

If you don't, you probably shouldn't turn it on in windows, since you might delete something important for the system by mistake.

Use Total Commander:
http://www.ghisler.com/download.htm

After installing, in DISPLAY/VIEW section, click "show hidden/system files", and click OK.
Then:
Now hit ALT + F7
type what you are looking for (could be 35720) and click the button "DRIVES". Check "all local drives".
Hit "Enter" and wait until it finishes.
Choose the path to 35720, double click. Now you're where you wanted to be. And you're just two clicks/Enters from your save games. (Remote folder inside).

You will have your files "or my name ain't Shanghai Sam... and it is." ;)
