Yes, GF4 Ti 4200 is definitely going to run the game. We have quite a few of those here in the office, so no worries. Obviously you won't get all the bells and whistles but it should still play & look great.

On the Radeon side, 9200 should _run_ the game, but we'd recommend 9500 or better.

great, was a little worried that i maybe wasnt gonna be able to play that game at all, like the Battlefield 2 demo

im gonna upgrade my graphicscard some time in the future, but i have other things to think about first.

Seeing that GPU has already been covered, I would like to know how fast CPU is required? 1Ghz,2Ghz etc.?

The following is totally unofficial estimation of system requirements:

GF4Ti series / GF FX5200 will be pretty much be the minimum Nvidia GPU. The game runs pretty well even on GF4Ti, but as GF4 isn't really the latest generation of gfx cards (and does not support the latest pixel shaders), you won't get all the cool small extra effects.

Radeon 8500/9000 will probably be the minimum for ATI GPU.

64 Megs of video memory is sufficient, but at least 128 Megs video memory is preferred.

To really get the maximum graphical looks out of the game, I'd be recommending at least something like Radeon 9500 Pro/9600 XT (or better) in case of ATI, and GF FX 5700 Ultra (or better) in case of Nvidia. Of course, the better the graphics card, the better details you can get out of the game. The game scales pretty well from low cost hardware to all the most expensive widgets.

Minimum CPU requirement will probably be somewhere around 1GHz - 1.5GHz. If you have at least a 2GHz CPU (2GHz Intel or XP 2000+ AMD), then you should have no problems with CPU performance in the game.

These were just more or less my own "approximations" and may well change for the final game.

I'm guessing the actual official requirements will probably be published later on, when all the optimization tweaks and other stuff in the game have been finalized.

sounds good.

will there be any really high resolution textures for the highend graphicscard users?

Well, "really high resolution" depends on the point of view, so I can't really say whether the textures will be "really" high. The textures will of course be slightly higher in resolution than those used by most of the users.

I think the textures (with highest detail level settings) will be quite sufficient for 1280x1024 screen resolution (which should be high enough for most people).
