Thank you Shadowngrounds (4 times)

Postby pcgamer23708 » Thu Jun 22, 2006 11:14 am

Thank you Shadowngrounds 4 times.

For creating a great PC Game with a genera almost forgotten

For giving us customers the choice of choosing what way we
like best to buy the game, being it in a DVD or download,
and not forcing us the choose one or the other.

For releasing Shadowngrounds in DVD the proper way meaning
without technologies meant for the internet like steam and
for not putting Product "ask for permission" Activation.

For giving us the extra bonus in the DVD version of not need
the disk inserted when playing.

For all of this a BIG Thank you Frozenbyte.
I proudly bought the UK DVD edition published by Reef and I
was able to convince 2 other friends to buy it also.
(NO I will not lend or share my own unit with my Friends but
instead helped them get their own version)
I know by protecting Shadowgrounds from lose of sales I am
helping myself cause this way Frozenbyte will have much more
resources to create great games in the future and continue
releasing them the way I prefer, in a DVD with no need for
disk to be inserted.

Thank You Frozenbyte
A loyal and happy customer

Thanks five times I guess. :)

I do have to mention that it's only the UK version that is on DVD - all other versions are on 2 CDs. Some of the European versions also have some forms of copy protection insisted on by publishers, but the 1.04 patch fixes all issues anyway (because of the Level Editor).

Nevertheless, I hope there are more gamers like you - and I know there are, which makes me happy. :)

Thanks that someone on your team is constantly responding to our messages. For example I think you are the first developer team who has answered this much to their customers' requests.

Thanks for your charging for the forum too.

Out of curiousity, have you made enough money off of Shadowgrounds to warrant a sequel yet?

To put it simply, no. But it's more complicated than that... I'm afraid I can't say more that.
