Linux: Strange crash

Postby ironsight » Thu Apr 14, 2011 10:06 am

Hello, just got the humble bundle today, and I get a crash deep in the game after a bit of time, maybe a memory leak or something. I play for about an hour or so and it just closes out. First my system:

Sabayon linux (rolling release) (based on gentoo)64-bit
Nvidia binary driver: 260.19.36
kernel 2.6.38
xorg 1.9.4
xfce 4.8.0

Nvidia gtx 260m 1gb
4 gigs of ram
intel core2duo centrino 2.13ghz

The output to stdout after the crash:

[email protected] ~/Downloads/games/trine $ ./trine-launcher64
Got signal 11 at (nil) from 0x7f33300136e9
./trine-bin64[0x433c98]
/lib/libc.so.6(+0x32250)[0x7f332ffce250]
/lib/libc.so.6(cfree+0x19)[0x7f33300136e9]
//usr/lib64/opengl/nvidia/lib/libnvidia-tls.so.260.19.36(+0x8bb)[0x7f33293168bb]
Aborted

Something went boom inside your graphics driver. Is this reproducible? If not, there's nothing we can do about it.

I get it now, the gpu probably overheated or something, it should be good. I was playing on the bed.
