Multiple Monitors, Ubuntu 10.10

Postby mykro76 » Thu Apr 14, 2011 10:15 am

Hi, I bought Shadowgrounds for Linux. I have two monitors set up as a TwinView configuration, so the launcher defaults to the total desktop size: 3200x1080. I only want to game on my primary monitor, so I select 1920x1080 in the launcher. When the game runs it is at the right resolution, but centred on the desktop so that it is displayed half on each monitor.

How can I disable this centering so that the 1920x1080 resolution will display entirely on my 1920x1080 primary monitor?

Thanks very much!

I'm also using TwinView and I have this problem with a lot of games, so I simply added an extra metamode in the xorg conf which only uses 1 monitor to which I switch before starting the game (using ctrl+alt++) ..

I explained it in this blog post
