New update for Humble Bundle purchasers

Postby nobodysbusiness » Sun May 08, 2011 5:50 am

I just noticed that there is now a shadowgroundsUpdate1.run file available from the Humble Bundle site! Are there any release notes about what is fixed?

Thanks for putting in the effort to release an improved version, Frozenbyte!

This is a very minor update. The game now gives a better error message if it crashes on startup, and the sound system has been changed a bit.

Well, I'm glad to hear that there's been an update to the sound system, as that's about the only thing that I really had any problem with. Thanks Alternative guys!

Thank you, however I'm not sure if the sound changes really fix anything...

I did a fresh install of the new update 1 version of Survivor, and unfortunately the "disappearing sounds" problem did indeed re-occur. It took a few hours of playing to get to that point, but it eventually did happen. I got to the point of having basically no sound left on the level where Isabel fights alongside the three other guys. Oh well. This didn't work, but I'm sure we'll get this problem sorted out eventually.
