My budget is less then 100 GBP , is there any budget cards out there that may get this game close to high detail graphics?

Thanks

That should be ok, but I don't think it's worth £100...

If at all possible, you should aim for a card like nVidia GeForce 6600 (GT preferably) or ATi X800 (GT/GTO or even XL). I think it should be possible to get a 6600 GT or X800 GT for about £100. These cards would be my picks but all the techies out there, feel free to correct me. (I'm not up to date on the latest movements.)

I couldn' find any recent tests, but there's one older test at http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=2540&p=1, comparing the cards I suggested.

On the other hand, in an earlier thread you said you have " Pentium 3 , FX Geforce 5700 video card, and 512 RAM". In this case I don't know if a powerful card (like the ones I suggested) would really help, so you might as well go with 9600 XT if it's a bit cheaper. If I remember right, it was a competitive card in it's time and should be able to run Shadowgrounds with decent settings.

Just my 2 cents...

Hi joel,

Thanks for the reply.
That was an old work computer i was using thinking of upgrading my home one.

I'm on the fourth level of the game and enjoying every bit of it just seems a shame that i'm playing on low settings thats why i'm thinking of upgrading. Pretty cool that your game is making think of spending a bit of dosh :)

Anyway now looking to just buy a whole new system

cheers

dave
