What do you think about the weapon arsenals in Shadowgrounds Survivor?

We don't know the full load out yet so I can't really comment much but if it's like the original then it should be good.

In my opinion, Frozenbyte should upgrade more of the existing weapons and give some new tricks. What about the new skills like Brute Slayer?

IMHO skills and other tricks are usually (but not always!) for the worse in games like this. Simple controls, simple action, fast gameplay, that's where it should be, just like in the original.

Of course, all suggestions are rather late already at this stage of development. :)

I think the Brute Slayer skill is what we saw on the Christmas 06 teaser trailer.

Jodwin says right. Maybe a simpler gameplay makes the game interesting. I wonder these 3 characters have packed what kind of arsenals? At the teaser trailer, I saw 1 character wield pulse rifle, another guy w/flamethrower.

Like the chainsaw idea. Perhaps some type of homing rocket?

I wish I had thought of the chainsaw! Man that would be cool. Oh well... would've required some new animations etc. Shouldn't be too hard to create a simple mod like that, though, heh.

Anyway I think you're going to be pleased with the weapon arsenal in Survivor. We kept the favorites (and added one totally new) and shuffled some upgrades, and the character improvements have a profound effect on gameplay too. More in the previews or later here...
