My girlfriend and I have recently been working on some Trine fan art that we thought we should share with everybody :)

Nice pics, I especially enjoy the polished look of the first one.

Thanks! A lot of work went into that one. It doesn't quite match the in-game loading screens as well as I was aiming for, but it was fun to do :)

I'm going to do two more that show what the other characters might have gotten up to after their latest adventure.

I must say im rather impressed with the work you've put into these pictures. I like the first one the best as its directly linked to the game and Pontius' potatoes :D

I (we) would like to see more Trine fan-art so keep up the good work!

Thank you :D
There's maybe 16 hours worth of work in "First Place" (including sketching time). I may have rushed it a little to make it ready in time for when I published my Trine 2 review.

There are a couple of work-in-progress shots of bits and pieces that we've got on our website for anybody who's too impatient to wait until we finish ;)

They're not Amadeus' children (they're Amadeus, Zoya and Pontius as children).

Any plans to paint over or it was planned to be "posterized"?

Well I have a clean (non-posterized version), but I've decided the posterized looks a bit sharper for the full version, the close-up isn't posterized. The pic wasn't a color piece initially, and as you can see it remained pretty much monochromatic. I'll upload the non-posterized full version as soon as I find it :)
Here's another character, he is from the Sword of Truth series, my representation of the character of Zed, based on the books from Terry Goodkind, sorry for the spam ;)

@Cheeseness, I'd love to see the "Pumpkin Carriage" in color, I love how sharp "First Place" is looking, hope the carriage turn out the same way :)

Cheers :)

I was initially hoping to paint it as a raster image (like the partially animated in-game cutscenes) rather than a vector, but anything's possible!

The thing I'm most likely to have complete next is the 3D Pontius that I'm working on. Depending upon how excited I am about modeling snails, I might end up doing "Pumpkin Carriage" in Blender and try to imitate some of the in-game effects.

Last week we ran a little fan art thingy to give away a collectors edition copy of Trine 2 (graciously organised/donated by fb_joel).

We had a total of 8 submissions ranging from quick pencil drawings through to digital art and even a game(!). If you're interested, you can check them out here :)

Also, my girlfriend made this one whilst the giveaway was happening (I think she felt a bit left out):
