I'd like to raise Shadowgrounds's public awareness a little bit. This is where you come in.
I know a lot of you have already supported Shadowgrounds on the net (thanks Qraft, Zeus, Hedgehog, and everyone else who has posted reviews/news comments etc) but I'd like to see a bit more of it.
So if you like Shadowgrounds, please take a few minutes to vote or write a review at places like Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk, GameSpot, GameRankings, Metacritic, GamesTracker, Eurogamer, GameFAQs...
Honest opinions is what I'd like to see - the game should be good enough so I think there's no need to lie or exaggarate or anything like that. If you feel the game is worth 3/5, that's perfectly fine for example.
Feel free to "spread the word" in other ways too. However, posting on other gaming forums isn't a good idea unless you're already a regular user at that forum.
WHY DO IT / WHAT'S THE REWARD?
Raising the public awareness of Shadowgrounds means good things:
1) It improves the chances of good mods, simply by making more people aware of the game, which always gives modders a nice morale boost and may even attract new modders. Most modders want their mod to be played by as many people as possible. Not having multiplayer in Shadowgrounds obviously limits the initial appeal a bit, but overall there is huge potential for cool singleplayer mods, and I'd hate to see that potential go to waste due to modders losing interest.
2) Sales of the game will most likely increase in the long run, which helps produce our next game(s) and gives us more stability as a company when we negotiate with publishers. What this means is that we can create original, fun games. I like to think that we are on the "good" side of the games industry so this should be welcomed by everyone.
3) And of course, if Shadowgrounds does become more successful, the chances of Shadowgrounds 2 or an add-on increase...

We will be doing our share of promotion, and we have something pretty cool to be announced for Shadowgrounds in the coming months (no, not multiplayer). We also plan to finally announce a mod contest and perhaps a general contest. And of course we'll be releasing patches from time to time (1.05 is just around the corner, although it's mainly a crash bug fix for a couple of gamers).
So, are you up for the challenge?

I will be keeping an eye on the votes/reviews from time to time, so you don't need to reply here if you'd rather remain anonymous.
