-disableMinidump why is this required?

-disableMinidump why is this required?

Win10 64bit
gtx 980ti
16GB DDR3

Had trouble starting Trine2. Game will just hang nothing appearing on screen. mdmp files are created.Even after clean fresh windows 10 reinstall and only steam added.

Finally got the game running with -disableMinidump launch option. Why is this needed? My other computers didn't require this.

Sorry for the delay!

Also unfortunately I don't know the answer, but the minidump feature has interfered with other games too – so, it's possible the problem is with the program itself. You can read more about minidumps from this Steam article.

This issue doesn't happen on most systems, so unfortunately I don't think it's possible to fix from our end.
