The ShadowGrounds engine is very good.
Do not sell the engine, right?

I'm not a coder, and not buying the engine or anything like that, but just wanted to comment that I'm impressed how the game looks and runs with my crappy video card (x850). Great work!

You call Radeon X850 crappy? Game works just fine with older Radeons (played with Radeon 9600 XT). Besides, gfx wasn't top-notch at the time (of release, 2005), not even close to Doom 3... though maybe little bit better looking than Dawn of War.

Oops! I thought I was posting on (original) Shadowgrounds forum
Anyways Survivor is just lightly updated version of the original, and IMO graphical improvement isn't that great. But then, I'm wargamer by heart, and therefore I don't give damn about graphics... As long as gameplay and interface works, graphical quality isn't all that important. Remember this, Frozenbyte: awesome graphics alone won't make great game

Shadowgrounds (original) looks good enough for me. If your next game improves everything but gfx of the first SG, I can call it improvement

x850 pro that's been modded to XT actually. You mentioned Doom 3, I don't think this card would run it very well. Haven't tried, though.
x850 is fast in its own league (AGP 8x cards), but with never games you can never be sure if it's going to be playable or not. When I installed Shadowgrounds Survivor I was happy to notice that it was indeed playable, and posted here just to give a thumbs up for the coders for their work.

You're right about gameplay being more important than graphics. As for SS, I've only played for a couple of hours so I don't have anything to say about it yet - but I've had fun so far.

I've played Doom 3 through with Radeon 9600 XT. I bet my arm that X850 Pro/XT beats 9600 XT running D3.

As to how playable it was, pretty smooth... compared to Quake in 75 HMz Pentium and Doom in 40 MHz 386

Re: ShadowGrounds Engine to sell?
alright people, calm down. If a Geforce 3 TI 64MB card (DX 8.0 or 8.1) can run it on medium at a resolution of 1240x1024, than so can your cards.
Re: ShadowGrounds Engine to sell?
My Riva TNT plays SGS just fine.
I had to hot glue a Direct X chip to it, though.
